Sort of agree with this. I have a habit of putting my mod in my shirt top pocket which then immediately pulls down one side of the shirt. But. I also like a mod to have some heft so it feels substantial...
Maybe makers could make a mod as light as possible but include some little lead weights you can fit yourself ?..

I like a heavy mod because I'm clumsy and forgetful, and it's a lot easier to ignore a heavy mod in my hand and drop it. My steampunk could certainly have a dual use in case of an emergency/intruder! Of course, that's why we keep the pellet gun by the front door. In the dark, it looks enough like a real rifle to throw someone off their game, though really, we'd be unlikely to injure anyone much...

I like light backup mods since my purse can't handle two steampunks, to each his own I guess, the good news is there are plenty of "heavy" mods for those who enjoy them, and lighter mods for those who don't. I've sampled both and definitely, the heft of a metal, two battery mod is excellent. I don't think the steampunk has much added weight, actually, other than the decorative metal that encloses the mod.... It's just pretty, and metal, and awesome and they seem to have packed a lot into their relatively small design... But, I don't HATE ANY mods, mods are excellent, and so much better than smoking! I'd even take a KT mod over a pack of smokes.... now. :)

Friends don't let friends hate mods!

For internal ~2000mah mods or mods that take a single 18650 battery, I agree. For anything that takes two or more 18650's I'd like a little extra heft in the construction for safety and longevity. Little mods bounce. Bigger ones not so much.

I need to rant about manufactures who add useless weight to their mod.
I am guessing they thonk it needs heft to feel solid. Well it doesn't. If you make a good mod. It will sell. Period. Leave thge added darn weight out.

There i feel better.
My rant is only aimdd at the makers who add necessary weight. I took my SX Mini apart to repaint the finish and found a useless hunk of metal had been placed inside. Its now much lighter. Any mod labled mini should weigh mini.
I have two mods that require two batteries and even with the batteries they weighed less than the SX.

Did you check out the specs before you bought it? I think even the Steampunk is on Kat's "itty bitty mod" list, IIRC. Mini is about size, I think, not weight, otherwise your mod would be named the SX Lite? Though I do understand some frustration about heaviness that isn't needed, I'm sure some manufacturers know that some people like heavy mods and others like lighter ones. I don't judge build quality by weight, personally, I have an aspire mod that weighs next to nothing and it's a great vape. Though, I'm personally glad you were able to turn your mod into something more to your taste... ;)

Sx mini M is pretty much indestructable, other than water I doubt you could break one. I've dropped mine from a scissor lift about ten feet in the air broke the glass in my kf5 but the mod still worked. I doubt any other mod I own would've survived.

probably not useless at all, why would a manufacturer add additional material cost, labor cost, shipping weight to an item if it was totally useless?
