I used to believe that hell was forever, until I read this in revelation:

13 "And the sea gave up the dead
which were in them;
and death and
Hell delivered up the dead which
were in them and they were judged
according to their works."

14 "And death and Hell were
Cast into the Lake of fire.
This is the Second Death.

15"And whosoever was not found
written in the book of life
was cast into the lake of fire."
(Rev:20:14-15).

It appears that hell will be done away with at some point. What do you think?

Verse 13 puzzles me tho, hell gave up the dead and those people were judged? If they are in hell, weren't they already judged?

What we call Hell is two different words in the Hebrew. One is Sheol, the side that is also called "torments". It's the place where people (before and after the resurrection to await judgement). Think of it as a holding cell where they await final judgment. The other word for Hell is Gehenna. Gehenna is what we call the "lake of fire". At the return of Jesus, the people in torments will go to the final judgment where they will be sentenced. It will be eternity in the lake of fire. And Sheol (or the place called torments) will be done away with.

That covers it. satan won't be in charge either. He will be a participant just like everyone else. He winds up with no title, except condemned. Hallelujah!! I'm looking forward to that day!:)
