Hi, I'm new to the forum, and to vaping. I'm looking forward to learning what I can from all of you.

Right now I'm using an 1100mah ego Twist, I got a starter kit from steam monkey based on reviews from the retailer section. It came with 5 cartomizers, which I liked. Today I found a local tobacco store that sold lots of different e-liquids and different ecigs and accessories. I purchased a vapage crystal clearomizer and vapage crystal xl which is similar to a vivi nova. I was hesitant since the only thing I had read on vapage were about their pre-filled ecigs. So far they're pretty good. I'm noticing that the vapor from the cartomizers is itchier compared to the vivi nova clone. I'm curious is this is normal. Has anyone else used either of these vapage products, and if so what your thoughts were. I'm also curious about everyone's preferred delivery system, and if it is normal that the cartomizers hit rougher compared to the clearomizers. Thank you all for your time and I look forward to learning from you.

Welcome to ECF zeroworth. Did your cartomizers come prefilled? There really are a ton of variables that affect vape quality and the type of "hit". Some flavors are harsher than others . Also higher nicotine levels will give more of a throat hit as well liquids that have a high pg level.

IDK how much you know about eliquids so excuse me if this is redundant. Eliquid can contain nicotine, flavorings, propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, distilled water and alcohol . The main proponents are nic, pg (propylene glycol), vg (vegetable glycerin), and flavorings.

Pg is an excellent flavor carrier that produces some vapor that tends to be more "fine" or "wispy". It is also a bit harsh. Vg is IMO not harsh at all, produces prodigious amounts of vaper, is slightly sweet on its own and tends to mute flavors. When buying liquids initially, take note of the pg/vg ratio so that you can have a baseline of what you prefer. If you find the liquids too harsh or not producing the vapor you expect, you can either look for those with more vg or less nic or both. a good ratio to start is 75/25 pg/vg.Each have their own preferences and you will find yours in time.

Welcome to ECF Zero. I am new here also. You made a great decision to go with a Ego Twist, you really cant go wrong with these as long as you know what you are doing with voltages. Seems to me you know quite a bit about vaping as it is even though your new too it. Enjoy your stay and stay off those pesky Analogs my friend.

Yeah, sorry I meant to post that info, my comparison with the cartomizers and the vivi nova clone were both with gorilla juice from alien visions which I believe is 100% vg. I purchased some watermelon 60 pg 40 vg from the local shop and I'm smoking it out of the clearomizers right now. The shop had a lot of clearomizers filled with the various liquids they sold on the counter to try out, which was awesome and saved a lot of guesswork. I noticed that the higher pg based liquids had a weird aftertaste but it was something I could get used to.

Another question for anyone still up. Right now I have about a quarter of my tank filled with gorilla juice, is it okay to mix flavors and if so which should I put in with it. I have flue flavor, strawberry cooler flavor, and bobas bounty all from alien visions all 100% vg. And the 60/40 pg/vg watermelon. I'd like to mix the watermelon in but I'm not sure if mixing 100 vg with 60/40 would be alright

You can mix different flavors of juices, people do it all of the time. PG/VG ratios shouldn't be a concern. As long as nicotine strengths are similar, there shouldn't be any concern.

I frequently add some menthol to my fruit flavors, or mix fruit flavors together for something different. It doesn't always improve the flavors, in fact sometimes the results are awful.

thanks for the info, right now im using a flue tobacco flavor to tone down a perfumey watermelon i bought at a local store. im hoping letting it steep will help, but i might need to get some menthol drops to tone it down
