Im not sure what kind of PV you use, but another thing about the Phoenix that people like, is that even though it's a rebuildable it is easily moddable into a bottom feeder. There's a thread about how to do so in the modders forum.

Not a bad feature set for a $15-$20 rebuildable...

I use a provari. Planning on trying the bottom feeding surge tank once they release the 3ml version.

That's pretty sweet. Too big and awkward for me I think. As if the provari isn't big enough already.

LOL Have you seen the Surge Tank? A 3mL version wont be much smaller. Maybe it's just my perception though... I'd rather have a bottle sitting right to the side that I can squeeze by shifting over one finger, then have anything adding all that extra length.

Ya I'm hoping the 3ml tank will be considerably smaller. That 6ml one is frickin huuuuuge.

Unfortunately most of the surge tanks size is the body, not the bottle space, and a 3mL bottle isn't even that much smaller than a 6mL bottle. I WISH they could redesign them a bit. When I first heard about them I was really excited, but wow, huge.

then the phoenix rebuildable atty is what your looking for......have 3 on the way......

I hope you have better luck with your Phoenix's than I did . Used the coil it came with . When it got gunked up , i tried to make a new coil and wick . 6 trys later , and still a no go , my Provari says all are low . I even tried a premade wick and coil . It measured 2.2 ohms on volt meter . install on Phoenix , and yep , too low for Provari to read . Now just so You won't think I'm totally a noob here . I have been building wicks and atty's for over a year now , with great sucess . I have an Iatty , a penelope , a GTUS , and a line , as well as several Vivi-Novas . Only the phoenix has let me down . As far as I'm concerned , it's a piece of junk .

That's odd... Perhaps there is a problem with yours. I have 2. One with a cotton crochet thread wick, and the other has a vertical genesis style SS Mesh wick, and they both perform extremely well. I would say very close to my Mark-T.

As far as the Pennies, GTUS, and Lines go, the Phoenix is a different *aminal*. The small size makes it a fine challenge when trying to build coils. The first time I tried my hand at it I failed miserably. The next two times I tried I failed miserably. After the fourth time I finally figured it out and have an awesome running little atomizer. I even was successful in building a vertical mesh wick/coil, which is probably the best I have experienced yet. Working on a dual vertical wick/coil setup right now, but i think I'll wait until my other two attys get here before I try implementing. This is just too good right now.

If you're happy with the Vivi than stay with it!

If not, than maybe?

I just ordered a Genesis style rebuildable but I'm still searching for my holy grail of ecigs.

I still don't see it replacing my Vivi or CE3's for when I'm doing errands/driving or just walking my dogs.

Have you tried some of the CE3 bottom coils? They're pretty good.

Don't worry about the technology, ecigs are evolving so fast that something cheaper and/or better will come out eventually. I'm still amazed by the Twist, a year ago you had to pay top dollar for a VV.
