Yes, that's what I'm going to do, I just ordered a bottle of PG and a bottle of VG with no nic or flavoring and 2 bottles with 6mg. of nic and asked them if they could make 1 with PG and one with VG. I think doing this will not only tell me which one I prefer, but will also tell me if it's the flavoring or the nic level that's doing it.

I will report back my findings as soon as I get them.

It may be how you're inhaling that's causing the coughing. Are you drawing the vape into your mouth, holding it there for a second, and then inhaling it into your lungs?

When I first started to vape I made the mistake of drawing the vape directly into my lungs and it was extremely painful. I coughed a lot. That's when I realized that I had never drawn smoke directly into my lungs when I smoked; I'd never really given it much thought till then.

Holding it in my mouth first, then inhale, pretty much the same way I do when I smoke analog. Only difference is at first I was drawing out a lot because all the vids I've watched said to do a long, slow draw...I do that and as soon as I draw it in, I can't even get it deep down, as soon as I it gets to the top of my lungs...BAM!!! I'm coughin hard all over the place.

i had the same problem when i started vaping.....
coughed really hard on almost every puff i took....
fruity/smoother flavors and lower nic levels seemed to help a little but still coughed from them...

however after a few days this went away completely...didnt have to change juices or anything, now i vape 36mg carts with no problem....from what ive read a lot of people do cough a bit for the first few days...i know i coughed quite a bit for the first couple days i vaped, but then by the end of the first week i wasnt coughing at all...

i know it can be rough, but hang in there, hopefully it will get better, especially if you play around with different types/nic levels in the juice im sure you can find something that suits you....

did you cough at all when you smoked analogs?

I'll keep at it but taking small hits from my pass thru, would be nice if it just went away.

Never coughed at all, store bought, or roll your own, not a cough ever.

I am new to the forums but been using a PV for some time. Some people can have an allergic reaction to PG. It sounds like that is what is happening. Do you have a sore throat after vaping? Your lungs might not be able to handle the PG and it is an allergic reaction. Try a VG based liquid. Cignot has small ml bottles for $3 to try. Just google them. It could also be your atty has burnt wicks. Have you tried a different atty?
