Juts bought a disposable esmoke by bulldog at my smokeshop counter while going in for a reg pack of smokes. It was $12 u.s. and says its equivelent to 1 1/2 to 2 packs of ciggerttes, Dosent seem that much cheaper, actually seems more expensive than my regulars. I do like it though, Been using it all day. A couple questions:
Will vaping cleatr my lungs of the shortness of breath/hack cough etc that comes with traduitional smoking or it inherint with this as well?
Thanks for having me.:)

Hi and I hope you enjoy your new toy!
I was smoking between 3-5 packs a day, more days at 5 then at 3. I was using a nebulizer at home morning and night, to administer albutarol, I also carried around a hand held inhaler, and would use it every hour two puffs. I still had a hard time breathing. I've been smoke free for a little bit over a month, just vaping, and I now ONLY use my hand held inhaler, and only once a day if at all.
I can walk long distances (couldn't before, sometimes I would run out of breath at the end of the driveway) I'm only 38, these things shouldn't have been happening to me, but no matter what I did, I couldn't quit smoking. NOTHING WORKED! then I tried vaping, and it worked I DON'T WANT TO SMOKE! It's the most amazing device I've ever found. So my experience, and my body, says yes, everybody is different though. But go ahead and get yourself a real electronic cigarette, buy some juice, lots of different Strengths, and give it a try. You too can quit! Good luck, and welcome!

I bought a Riva 510 for $29.99 it's an electronic cigarette. I bought a kit, the kit comes with two of everything, so when one battery is charging, you can use the other one. Those batteries last between 7-12 HOURS per charge. I also bought some "juice" for my PV, it cost me $29.99 for 30ML, I'm now paying $7 per 30ML, most people VAPE 3ML a day I was a heavy smoker, so I'm a heavy vapor, I go through 6-10ML a day, that's a HUGE savings over my $9-15 a day for 3-5 packs of Pall Mall's plus I can't put a price on my health.
That Riva should last you for years, the only maintenance is replace juice, and atomizers (that's the part that heats up the juice, and it's ALOT like a light bulb, and will burn out between 1-6 months), thT and recharge the batteries.
I bought mine from liberty flights. In the upper left hand corner of the web page there is a button that says 20% off, click that then click on the Riva 510 link, and one of the kits is $29.99, that's ALOT better deal then a disposable for $12, but you got off ALOT easier then most people who start vaping. I spent well north of $200 BEFORE I found the Rica! Well good luck, and welcome!

Welcome rickster,
I too am new, just bought the V4L e-cig kit for $93. Got 2 packs of cartos, 2 xl batts, passthrough, chargers, pretty good deal.
Im not a heavy smoker, cut down to 7 a day. The first carto lasted me 6 days, that was for my work week. Its looking like I can get at least 2-3 days from one carto on the weekend. Good luck and ask as many questions as you like. These folks are terrific. Cheers

Yes vaping disposables would be pricey. We buy more permanent ecigs. Nothing is permanent though - batteries can only take 150 charges or so, atomizers can burn out, carts need to be restuffed or replaced, juice is a continuing expense but much cheaper if you mix your own. If you use a 2-piece, cartomizers are a continuing expense - you can get days to a week out of each if you keep them damp (not bad for something that costs $2).

Vaping high nicotine in 100% PG juice might not clear your lungs, but vaping smoother juices should help (I like ones with about 30% VG which smooths the harshness of nicotine a bit). I used to cough every morning and sporadically during the day, and my sinuses were bad for the whole last decade - it all cleared up after a week of vaping. Within the first 2 days I woke up with clear sinuses.

But that starter Chinese juices - the 100% PG can be a bit harsh on the tongue, throat and even lungs - and that is what's likely to be in prefilled carts for atomizers and also sold by many good-price multi-brand hardware vendors. OK for starter juice and you should definitely get starter juice to arrive with your kit, but it has the potential to be irritating. There are plenty of great US juice vendors that offer PG/VG blends. PG lets through the most TH, VG smooths it a bit and adds more visible vapor.

With the 510, you need the long 510 mega batteries to get the charge life of the standard KR8 (3-5 hours)

If you are a very heavy smoker, hard dragger, or need or want 6-8+ hour battery life, then you could skip the slim ones and go straight to Ego, EGo-T, Riva 510. Besides longer battery life, these can also use power-hungry harder hitting LR (low resistance) parts.

Welcome to ECF. Your lungs will definitely clear up. You will probably find you are disappointed very quickly with your first purchase but that is like the right of initiation around here. :) The posters above have some great suggestions for starting out. In the short run it will not be cheaper and probably quite a bit more expensive just because you will probably catch the "toy bug" wanting to find that sweet vaping spot that is perfect for you. Just remind yourself this is a little more costly in the beginning but will even out in time. The health benefits will surpass the expense very quickly!

Hello Rickster ! You started out the same way I did. I was buying my regular cigs and saw a throw-a-way e-cig. I paid close to 14.00 for it. It got me hooked ! I now buy from Vapor4Life. I love their juices. Within 2 days all my 'smoking' aliments disappeared also. Never cough anymore, breathe easily, have better skin, don't smell anymore, could go on & on about the benefits. The best of luck to you !!

Even after 25 years of smoking I didn't really experience the hacking cough (sometimes a tickle in my throat at bedtime) or lack of sense of smell or taste. I could still run up flights of stairs or walk the 10k for the annual AIDS walk. So, none of that was changed or improved for me (although the tickle in the back of my throat is gone, it could be just coincidence since I only had it for a few weeks before I started vaping).

What I have gained is that I can vape inside around my kids or husband and there's no second-hand smoke. I can go to a job interview without worrying that I stink or hoping that my interviewer smokes too and will cut me a break. My hair smells like shampoo, as does my coat and gloves. I can brush my teeth and then lie in bed and vape without ruining the fresh minty breath. I can vape two puffs or four puffs or one puff or twenty puffs, I'm not going to waste it and it won't burn out. I don't have a yellow stain between my fingers.

Of course breathing better would be a major plus for anyone, but there are a lot of other benefits to vaping too.

Good luck! :)
