Can An E-Cigarette Really Help You Quit Smoking? | The Bilerico Project

Wecome aboard and too funny. I caught mention of your articles earlier this week on a blog comment and finally got around to reading them this morning. I joined the site just to make a comment about them (on Part 3). I also mentioned this site so people would find it.

I came over here to search to see if they were ever posted and turns out you were posting on this thread. Really good articles and you fond the best place to get all kinds of information.

Haven't read the rest of the comments in the thread but hope your tornado is working for you.:vapor::)

When you get comfortable, you might want to bounce over to the campaigning areas like the law and ecigs, campaigning and ecig news. We could use any reasonable journalists to voice our side and keep vaping available.

We're waiting for a journalist from Madison Wisc to come back with editorial three. Her first was pretty negative, a little less so on the second and a promise of a third after she, hopefully, did some research.

Links to the first to are below-

Emily's Post: Why are Wisconsin newspapers shilling for e-cigarettes? - Isthmus | The Daily Page

Emily's Post: Electronic cigarettes, Marty McFly, and internet detective-ry - Isthmus | The Daily Page

Should be interesting reading.

Beckygrrl, welcome and yay for you! I've been cigarette free for over a month now (38 days) and loving it. I have an eGo (like the Tornado) and it's great. I'm gradually lowering my nicotine and it's working, too. I started out at 24 mg/ml and now all I order is either 18, 16, or sometimes even 12. I use them interchangeably and don't notice any adverse (withdrawal) effects. I even vape 0 nic from time to time.....awesome. I am beginning to think that we're (none of us) not even as addicted to nicotine as we think. I'm sure the addiction to cigarettes was partly an addiction to some of the 4,000+ OTHER things in cigs besides nicotine. Good luck, and if you write more, bring it here, too. Great reading!

Excellent articles, becky! It's good to see someone write an unbiased account of their experiences, (in any sector - not just e-cigs), since so much journalism nowadays seems to have an agenda.

I was especially tickled by the fact that your motivation was regaining your voice. I'll take a chance and bet that if you continue vaping, in a few months time, you'll have discovered so many other health benefits, that your voice will only be one of dozens of good reasons to have quit.

I'd love to see a Part 4 sometime. Maybe a 3-month update and some talk about the e-cig community, legislation, etc?

Well done! For both quitting and writing about it! Welcome to the forums!
