Hey forum! My name is Matt... been using cig alikes off and on for awhile. I started with a Blu years ago... funny thing I ordered it, forgot about it, and 8 months later I got a charge from them which overdrew my acct. It was them finally sending the kit I had ordered 8 months ago! Crazy!

Anyways I wasn't really into it... maybe kept up with it for 2 or 3 months. Probably because i was still smoking. Then later on I got a cheap kit... same thing happened. I really wasnt impressed with the puny charge of its battery, vapor amount, and cartridges... you guys call them cartos?

Fast forward to 3 weeks ago and after trying gas station disposable cig alikes, Puff brand and a nJoy King, I decided to quit smoking tobacco cigarettes. Ive been smoke free for almost 2 whole weeks. Tuesday at 10pm will be 2 weeks Haha

I found this site after ordering a eGo-H2 kit... the green one lol... from fasttech. I ordered it on the 27th and the said it shipped on the 29th...gave me a tracking number and all that but when I was so excited thinking it would arrive the next monday(4th) it said it had just gotten to the facility in Hong Kong :( .... I was pretty PO'd! mainly because I paid for the faster shipping. I went to look up reviews for fasttech and it led me to here...which was kinda funny cause i was doing price shopping for like an hour and I was assuming Fasttech was some kind of hole-in-the-net e-store... come to find out its pretty big with the vaping crowd.

So after lurking for a bit I figured id join. Im a fan of forums and im a moderator in a yamaha motorcycle forum lol.

Thanks! I think ill have a nice time here.

-----------------------------

question....

after some research i found out that the eGo-H2 kit has a GS-H2...clearomizer? cartomizer? anyways,... i was just looking for info about its atomizer and how to clean/rebuild it. I think i see a lot of info on the ones with the top coil and this one has a bottom coil. are they pretty much similar care wise?

Hi Mr Rcom and welcome to ECF. So you found Fasttech. They are quite popular here for low priced ecig supplies but they, along with the other Chinese companies are having shipping problems with things containing batteries and/or eliquids. Do not be surprised if your order takes 2 weeks to a month or more to arrive here. There are many kits you can start off with, the ego series being one of the more popular ones. I have no idea which ego kit you purchased, the link to the item on Fasttech would help.

Once you get 5 posts here you can post directly in the Fasttech forum on ECF. There is a thread to review products but the one named Fasttech Thread for all Fasttech ..... something, can't remember, will be all about the items and the shipping. People are very active in that thread and are very good about letting you know if you have a good item or a clone and what problems it may have. They can also help you out with how to follow the tracking.

For myself, I started out with a kit that had 2 Vision Spinner 1300mah batteries, a couple of Kanger Evods and a Joye 510 atomizer. The best kit for this was at MyVaporStore and runs around $70. I just got my MVP2 last week. It is a vv/vw (variable voltage/variable wattage) device and love it.

Found the Fasttech link for you. Post the link for what you bought here and let's see if someone knows what is coming to you.

You are going to need to purchase juice for your kit. There are many flavors and options to choose from. Do you know what mg strength you have been vaping? How many cigarettes do you smoke each day? One of the best and cheapest sites to get started with is Mt. Baker Vapor. There are several threads that talk about their juices and you can read about the flavors and reviews. Here is a thread to the most popular vendors for juice.

You have lots of options here for you. Lots of reading and many helpful and knowledgeable people. Ask your questions and you will get answers. Post that link to what you purchased if you can.

Hey Sheri, yup thats the exact one i ordered... i read some posts on another forums and people said that with a bottom atomizer you dont have to worry about the longer wicks of the top atomizers drying out. The price was what sold me... looking around i saw comparable units for over 20$ - 30$.

as for the e juice a local liquor store i frequent has a small inventory of e cig things... but they do have some juice. I picked up a 10ml bottle of "Newport" made by L Smoke. Its an 1.8% mix.

The disposables ive tried have been 1.4% and I believe the nJoy King was like 4.something %... it was too strong! 1.2 - 1.8% range is what i think ill like the most.

Great. Did you get at least 2 of them? If not you need to have something for a backup. Just one of those may not get you through a full day. And you should not charge them overnight while you sleep. There is a risk of something going wrong and starting a fire or exploding. That is part of battery safety. The one you bought should take about 3 hours or less to charge.

Get yourself a few flavors of juice. Since you have a local shop, hopefully you are able to test them out. Some people are good vaping just one flavor all day. Others need to switch flavors several times a day. You will find what works for you. Keep whatever ecigs or kits you have now. It is good to have other things that work when one thing breaks or will not perform properly.

At almost 4 months vaping I still only have a couple of juices that I like enough that I can vape all day. And only two that I can vape for several days in a row. The light fruit juices do not satisfy me at all, even though they have the right nicotine level. They just leave me still wanting. I have a tobacco and a tea vape that hit the spot. And a Diy juice that a friend makes up for me that makes me happy. Stuff that is meh just does not satisfy me at all.

I do suggest you check out the Mt Baker Vapor website. Their juice is very inexpensive and if you spend $15 you will get a free 15ml sample juice. You can get several bottles of juice for under $20 including shipping. There is a coupon code 'vaporfrombaker' for 10% off too. It is a good place to start and the juice will probably be better quality and taste than what your liquor store provides. Go check them out.

Thanks all for the welcome!

Shari... I only ordered one of the kit. I will only be vaping at home so I assumed I wouldn't be going crazy on it haha. Who knows...

Coming from the RC car world I've got my hands on a few Li-po battery packs and I've read about how lithium batterys need to be watched over when charging. Thanks for mentioning it though!

A big Welcome to ya MR Rcom!
Congratulations on finding ECF! You are going to make a lot of wonderful friends here...

Wanted to share some info with you if you don't mind... may help you in the future...

I have taken a half dozen Redux eGo Clearomizers... all being top wicked...
filled them with different e-liquids 100% vg 50/50 vg/pg, 65/35, 70/30 pg, even 100pg.

I then vaped each one of these Clearomized all the way down... over
a week... never once... allowing them to be TIPPED...

Meaning I have kept them (STRAIGHT) upright at all times...
Each and every day and night of the week I spent at least 10 minutes...
vaping on each Clearomizers... EXPECTING... the wicks to run dry... it did NOT Happen!

Each WICK in each Clearomizer drew their liquids up their yarn to the COILS and
worked just as they were suppose to do... I was surprised... and very pleased...
NOT ONE single wick ran dry just because I did not tip the Clearomizer over
to soak the top area of the wick.

Anyone can check by repeating my same test... and they will come up with the same results.

All the stories about wicks running dry... hmm??? How do you think a wicked FUEL LAMP WORKS???

If and when a person is having doubts... I would suggest, for peace of mind, they might tip,
their topped wicked tanks, every 15 minutes or so... if that often... ;-)
