Thanks. I never thought quitting would be so easy. I am still looking for that perfect flavor but I am having a good time looking. I am at 12% nicotine at the moment. I know it is subjective but about how long should I wait to switch to a lower level?
A lot a people struggle with giving up the evil weed until they try vaping. There is no obvious withdrawal symptoms when vaping and the habit of blowing out steam is so similar to smoking it's like you are not even trying. This is what vaping makes it such a successful method of quitting cigarettes. A lot of vapers never give up vaping and find it turns into a complete hobby.
The trick is to cut down so that your body doesn't realize that it's getting less nicotine. Bear in mind that because vaping is a different delivery method of nicotine into your body that you will find that you are constantly vaping and think that you are chain smoking. This isn't the case.
A likely scenario is:
You smoke 1 cigarette every hour or two and this delivers enough nicotine to last enough time until the next time you light up. So the nicotine effect last about an hour (YMMV)
To get the same hours nicotine effect from vaping you would probably need to vape for 15 mins to half an hour to get the same satisfaction. This is why vaping works. It takes your mind off of the cigarette because you are getting nicotine delivered but over a much longer period.
If you are vaping solely to quit cigarettes and then to stop vaping then my opinion would be to start on about 24mg for about 3 weeks then cut down to 22mg and stay on that for about a month. Then cut back to 18-20mg and stay on that for about 3 months. Then cut down by 1mg per month until you reach about 6mg. After that you will have been vaping for 18 months and your body will be rid of the nasty chemicals inside cigarettes and you should be able to go onto no nic. vaping for the foreseeable future. If you find that this is the case then you can just stop vaping if you want.
This is just a general guide on how to cut back on your nicotine intake so don't be too worried if you fluctuate between 12-16mg half way through your schedule. It just means that you are cutting down too quickly. Take your time. It's worth it in the end.
A lot of people i find at work have tried vaping and go back to cigarettes. Not because they miss the nicotine, but because of lack of support with their chosen set-up.
This is where ECF comes into it's own. Solving problems like leaking, gurgling, dry hits, bad flavour etc.
If only bricks and mortar stores would provide some sort of support structure for their customers, more people would be able to give the cigarettes the big heave-ho.
Good luck with your story.
And keep logging in to ECF and you will make it I'm sure.
Remember this. You are amongst friends here and no question is too obvious or too much bother to answer.
Hope this helps you out.

I am semi new to the vaping world. Started with cig a likes this past summer to quit. But they just wer not doing it. So I switched to and ego twist knock off recommended to me by my local b&m store. I did not know it was a knock off and after browsing this forum and looking online I way over paid. But it got the job done and have been cig free for two weeks now. Last week I ordered a genuine ego twist and a kanger pro tank 2 and I am very impressed. Great flavor, great vape, and great experience all around. My only gripe is the ego outer threading showing. Is there anything I can get to make it more aesthetically appeasing? Other than that again hello and I am glad to have found this community.

Hello and Welcome to ECF! Congrats on two weeks Keep on Vaping :vapor:

Thank mediocre toker that was very helpful. I do not think I will give up vaping. My goal is jus to get down to a low nic level and stay there. Even if I give up nic I still plan on vaping non nic juices. This is a fun new hobby and I find it to be very enjoyable. Today was the first day I have not been chain vaping so I guess my body is already slowly adjusting itself to less nicotine. I am using both 24 mg nicotine and 18 mg nic juice.

So I am thinking of upgrading from my eGo next month to a vv/vw mod next month. What do you guys suggest for under $100.
Easily the best pound/buck for value mod in my opinion is The Tesla. I just cant fault it (apart from the button configuration, but it's a quirk I'm willing to live with).
I have a vamo too and this is equally as good a vape machine and does the same things (pretty much) as the Tesla.Thing is with the Vamo, the centre firing pin gets pushed down and I am constantly picking at it to make a connection to whatever choice of atomizer you put on.I had the Vamo for a couple of months and the constant picking of the firing pin actually broke the solder inside the vamo head. I've repaired the vamo now and it still vapes like a steam train but i know that this will certainly be happening again. If you are looking for the next stage set-up the Tesla is the only way to go as the firing pin is set on a spring mechanism so the firing pin is never going to get pushed inside the body of the mod.
The Tesla does not take a stacked battery configuration like the vamo though and will not take a sub-ohm coil(like the vamo),but certainly for the next step in your vape world it is a definite recommend. The link is for information about the mod because i'm pretty sure you can get it for around $75

Haha I guess I have to go look for one locally to check out now. I've also been looking into the vamos and lavatube. Are they any good. I see a lot of mixed reviews for both.

yepper, you might just be surprised about the MVP, feature rich, compact, dependable, cheap...

vamos and lavatube--those seem popular, if I was going for a 'tube' mod first choice
is obvious @ - ProVari Variable Voltage Electronic Cigarette

but for the china types I kinda like the

- iTaste MVP Variable Voltage Box Mod (2600mah) {Sigelei-ZMax}

I don't own one, so can't say how they are...

The provari sounds awesome but I would need to save up a month or three to justify buying it.

I am going to research the itaste more. It is right in my price range but need to see more reviews before I make up my mind. I have a month to decide so no rush.

I would like to thank everyone here for their help and "hand holding" I have had a lot of things cleared up which last week were way over my head.
