Hi all. Dont know how to start this thread but hope your all doing well.

I am fairly new to vaping.

I started of using the egoT with the GSH2 atomizer. Been using it for a few years and have decided to upgrade.

I searched around Google for new products and came around the Vision Sniper 2. Its seems like a good product with the voltage adjuster.

With that battery im still using the gsh2 atomizer and it seems to work very well.

I recently got a Drip tank, the funny thing is i have no idea what the model is called as i purchased it from a bootsale stall.

I tried to connect it to the sniper 2, but doesnt seem to fire up. I have removed the casing/shell it seems to smoke for a touch of a second, but thats about it.

Ill attach a pic if i can....

Would anyone have an idea what im doing wrong and what it maybe called?

Looks to be a Genesis style tank, I have no idea what brand. Not familiar with the Sniper but the most likely root of your problem is that the coil on the atty is buillt to too low of a resistance. If that is the case your regulated battery wont fire that for safety reasons.

I Googled and found nothing for a Vision Sniper 2. Do you mean a Vision Spinner 2?

The tank you have is what is known as a Genisis style atomizer (atty). It uses stainless steel mesh as a wick and you make your own coil and wrap it on the wick, making connections with the two screws which use a flat screwdriver. The phillips screw is in the fill hole. I think I see coil wire on it under the screws, but I don't see it wrapping around the wick.

I used a Genisis atty for a while and they are not the easiest to learn to use. However, once you get it, they can be quite good. You will however need a ohms checker or digital mulitimeter and learn how these tanks are set up. In the meantime I suspect if there is a functioning coil on there the resistance is probably too low for the battery you have. I would stop trying it until I had a way to check the resistance because if it is too low and the safety on the battery fails it could explode.

Personally, I would not use a Genisis atty on a battery that didn't make at least 15 watts. If your battery is a Spinner it doesn't do that.

You could do either but simply recoiling is the cheapest and "simplest" answer. I am hedging my answer here because, as Ryedan said earlier, a Genesis tank can be tricky to learn with.

genesis attys are hard to build...

I would start with a kayfun/lemo/russian RTA, or a aspire nautilus as was mentioned.

I've got a couple of gennys at home, and I've never ever got them to vape properly. I gave up after about the 10th failed build.

I've heard they're nice once set up right...maybe one day I'll try one.

Almost a year now. It not the best atomizers around as i found they often leak from the mouth piece.

Have you given the Aspire Nautilus a try?

Im fairly new to attys. I purchased the above pictured tank cause it looked nice. Didnt realise further work needs to be done to make it work.
