New to the forum. Would like to say hello to everyone. New to the vaping experience. Quit cigarettes a few months back thanks to guy I met at my new job on a business trip. He was vaping outside and we started a conversation about vaping and how I would like to stop smoking. He explained the basics to me and since I was going to be in town for three weeks I said I would run to one of the local vape shops to check it out over the weekend. He told me to hold off buying anything and he would see if he had anything he is not using anymore and get back with me on Monday. Well he proceeded to give me my first mod, a Smok Cube Mini. Since that evening in mid April have not smoked cigarettes since. I'm all in! Now own 5 mods and 12 to 15 tanks and rda's now. Getting in to coil building and looking at a mech now. Just a quick insight in to my vaping jorney so far. Have a great weekend everybody:headbang:

Howdy and welcome. :)
Mechs are a pain in the .... without much in the way of advantages imho. If you’ve got a mod that has a passthrough setting you canexperience what a mech tastes like withoyt any of the whole “blow off chunks of body part” issue
Yes still thinking about it but i get what you are saying about “blow off chunks of body part” lol Thinking about a cheaper tube mod to tinker with.

Hello and welcome. Going cheap with a mech isn't a good strategy. Maybe @Skunk! can give a recommendation. If you are going to try a mech might as well go all in and get a squonk.
Thanks for the advice! Recently picked up a Vandy Vape Pulse 80W Box Mod and it's a daily driver for me now. Was thinking a tube mod in the 50$-70$ range. Like the look of those things and the portability also. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance-

Sorry. I'm not gonna recommend a tube mech. EH Pro Armor is a protected tube mod that works like a mechanical mod. Looks like them too, but is actually a bit shorter than most because it doesn't have the bottom button assembly. Get some more practice biilding coils on it then try a mechanical tube in a little bit. In the meantime save up for a good quality device.
