Hey guys! Been lurking here for about 2 weeks now.
First, here's my story: I'm 25, a grad student, and I'm originally from New Mexico but now living in Illinois. I've been smoking 10-20 a day for the last three years or so, but I've considered interested in nipping this habit in the bud before I end up with bad bad health problems down the road. One night, somewhat inebriated, I was checking out Wikipedia's take on cigarettes and cancer, and one of the articles mentioned Ruyan's e-cigarettes. Never heard of this before, so I did some research, and in that state of inebriation, immediately purchased a white NPRO. About a week and a half ago, the device came, and since then I've scaled my analog habit to (being honest here) about 5 per day and dropping.
Since I've gotten my ecig, roughly 5 friends have jumped on the bandwagon, most ordering DSE-901s (as I most likely would have, had I seen this forum earlier) from puresmoker.com. So, here are my impressions after a week an a half on the NPRO:
The NPRO, while overly expensive (the PeeWee from puresmoker appears to be exactly the same kit), has performed quite well for me. I blew 40 bucks on 20 cartridges about 3 days after I got it (ouch!!!) and then, smartly, switched to refilling my old carts with PURE camel medium juice from puresmoker (one of my friends added a bottle onto his initial order for me). Haven't tried dripping yet for fear of ruining the only atomizer I currently have.
Well, so far, I haven't had any atomizer/battery/whatnot all else problems, so I'm happy on that front, but unlike a few people I've seen here, I definitely don't like the njoy cartridges (regular tobacco flavor). The vapor and hit are fine, but the flavor leaves much to be desired. Far too sweet for me. I definitely prefer the PURE Camel, and I'm looking forward to trying some 555 and LikeSmoke that my friend ordered.
So, I'm looking for recommendations for more burny/toasty-flavored juices if anyone knows of any. My favorite analogs were Lucky Strike filters when they were around, and since then I've been smoking American Spirit regulars and Camel Lights. I really want to switch to all-vaping, so I'm willing to try as many juices as I need to in order to find the flavor I want.
Anyway, CaSH, it looks like you run a great site, and you can expect some more orders from me soon. No complaints about NJOY other than they're way too damn expensive, and I felt misled when I discovered that the NJOY e-cigarettes were most likely manufactured in China (I'd gotten the impression that they were made by NJOY, not just re-packaged and distributed).
Alright guys, nice to meet ya, and thanks for all of your help, even if you didn't know you were giving it. Helped quite a bit with the e-cigarette learning curve.
