Thanks for the welcome! Actually, I was a member here some years ago, but got involved in other things and didn't spend time here. When I went back to try logging in again, my account was locked out, and attempts to revive it were futile, as the process involved an email from the site that was going to a no longer existing email account! So, here I go for a second time. Cheers!

What was the original username? Accounts that have not been accessed in more than 6 months were locked down due to account compromises by people who use the same password across multiple sites.
Unfortunately, I no longer have the bookmark or user info for this site. I deleted everything when I was unable to log in, and it's been quite a while back. Regardless, I was able to create an account again, so it's not a problem!

My main interest at this point is research on clinical/medical studies related to vaping and its effects on health of users, and also the health of 'second hand' exposure. Many entities have included vaping in bans on smoking cigarettes, and discussions I have had with quite a few people have provided no clear reasoning as to why. The simple answer has usually been the premise that "If it looks like smoking, it IS smoking". I'm trying to validate my position that this is entirely false.

I quit smoking in 2011 after a lifetime of heavy tobacco use and I credit vaping with literally saving my life. I would just like to educate the less knowledgeable among us!

No, it IS a problem. Our site rules are very explicit and prohibit multiple accounts.

5. Registration
a. One person, one account. This means:
i. You can only have one account.
ii. Only one person can use an account.
b. A person is only allowed one member account at ECF. Do not create multiple accounts. If there is a problem with your account and you cannot access it, DO NOT create another account: instead open a support ticket via the Contacts link at the top and bottom of every page and we will resolve the issue for you.

If you can provide the old email address, I can locate your original account.

I'm sorry, I no longer have that info. I'm talking about a period of years (5 or more) since I last attempted to log in. I understand that rules are rules, and i regret being able to provide you with that old address. Many things have changed, including ISP, servers, and location. Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience - if I'm not allowed to be here I understand.
