Hello ECF, First i want to say thank you for this forum and its contributors. Words cannot explain how much help it is to someone looking to quit smoking that knows nothing about vaping.

I had a previous co-worker stop by the office back in late November vaping a pv from greensmoke. Knowing this guy had quit with that pv cold turkey for 2 months from 2 packs a day got me looking for information on it. That’s when i found ECF. I started with the stickies here in the newby forum and haven't stopped reading since lol. that night I ordered me an eGO. I smoked my last cig a few days later waiting on my package from liberty. That was one month today!!

I want to thank you all for the good advise i read about starting with an eGO, I know its not a 5v device and defiantly not the Rolls-Royce of vaping heh, but it was a very good and cheap start into the vaping world. Since then i've gotten some DYI juice stuff and started mixing my own juices and moved on to an Icon from puresmoker (LOVE THIS THING). Using LR Atties and high drain batteries lol. If it weren't for this forum i wouldn’t' even know what the heck an Icon is.

I was smoking about 1.5 packs a day for the past 15 years and finally, FINNALY I’m DONE! I can't explain how happy I am with that (my wife to). Since I got my eGO 4 other co-workers here have purchased kits and quit as well. Its amazing how well a good PV works. I've got family members that currently smoke interested as well.

My adventure into DYI isn't working so well with tobacco flavors though, I can make some awesome caramel apple Sunday stuff, but kind of fruity stuff just isn't working for me that well. Guess I’m a tobacco flavor guy, idk. So I’ve got some orders into FSUSA and Backwoods Brew and really looking forward to trying these juices out.

Thanks again ECF!
Pete

I think Tobacco is prolly one of the hardest to mix with. After all, our experience with it is what it tastes like after it's been incinerated, right? LOL. I wouldn't mind a flavor that tastes like some of the smells you can find in a cigar/tobacco store, like in the humidor, you know?

That rich, velvety smooth, kinda woodsy, bourbon-y, with a sweet and tangy tickle of fruit scent. That is heaven.

I picked up some Tobacco Absolute from Perfumersapprentice.com and using that to work with for my pals that like tobacco flavors. Me, personally, I can't stand the smell of it. I am doing some pretty outrageous things with it, and I guess they like it. They keep asking for more.

Give me my clean fruit flavors for now. I am very content with the taste of those...

BTW, congrats!!

Thats exactly what i'm missing lol. I've tried tobacco absolute, seedmans concentrate and some m/boro concentrate with no luck, Its not horrible, and with some steep time its actually pretty decent. But i'm still looking for what you described above.

Congrats on quitting!! I've given up on finding a tobacco smoke flavor,
short of trying to lick a dirty ashtray. The flavor you're looking for is a burnt flavor,
that don't seem to be readily available.

I've found that a licorice or anise mixed with menthol (NEVER a menthol smoker)
gives me the TH and a dry taste that makes me forget tobacco.
