Hello to all,
This site has been the best information I have found on the 'net regarding the e-cig / PV phenomenom. I smoked for 40 years and have tried everything. (Sound familiar?). I cannot believe seeing the end of the cigarettes aka 'analogs'. I have been lurking for a couple of months to get myself informed from this great source of information. So to everyone... Thanks!
I am using the KR8--- and working for me so far. Officially 'quit' 25 Dec '09 and had the occasional cheater smoke but used the vape for primary.
As of now I prefer the vapor to the smoke. However it does smell really good when around smoker friends. Kinda like being in the crowds at a good concert if you get my drift.
Really intrigued by all the info i have come across here. Now instead of being obcessed by smoking. I am obcessed by the next juice, gadget, cart, reading this forum, etc.
The FDA versus njoy and Smoking Everywhere saga is interesing also. My take is whatever happens.. we will still vape. Too many gadgets out there that can replace what we have now.
I ran across this in my internet nicotine OCD........
ht tp www dot lcolby dot com In Defense of Smokers.. Dont smoke because of this but will make you think...

Even with an occasional analog (rare that they are) yours is still a great success story! 40 years is a long time and to know that your KR8 is working this well for you is good news.

I smoked for 36+ years myself and quit instantly using my first PV which was also a KR808D-1. About a week into it and after learning so much here on ECF I went ahead and got a Joye510 from Cignot.com and haven't looked back. Now mixing my own juices, using a NicoStick I built and enjoying it even more.

Congratulations to you and I hope your health continues to improve as much as mine has and look forward to a better life!

GPWill- First of all, welcome.
I'm guessing you and are about the same age (given the smoking for 40 years and reference to the crowds at a good concert) and I agree this forum is, without a doubt, the best source of reference for vapers and would-be vapers. As well as having some of the nicest and most well-informed people on the net when it comes to e-cigs.
Sounds as if this past Christmas may have been one of the best you ever had. E-cigs and vaping is truly a phenomenal event in the lives of us who have puffed away on tobacco for decades and could never see it ending. No matter how hard we wanted it to end.
My wife and I were lucky enough to drop the tobacco the day we drew on our first e-cig. It sounded crazy, an "electric cigarette", but my God it worked. Haven't had an "analog" since that day, July 1, 2009. Feel so much better it's hard to express to people who don't know the feeling.
Sometimes I feel like an extreme born-again Christian who preaches to anyone who will listen. I get started and I don't want to quit telling a smoker just what this can all mean to them. Wish I had the money to just go down the street and hand them out to every smoker I meet. See what I mean?
Anyway. Yes, I agree that reading and keeping tabs on this forum can become a true obsession. We started out thinking the SmokeStik RN4081s we had was the end-all. Then read the M401 was better. And it was. And still is. Then we finally had to try the 510 model and here we are now. Who knows what will be next but each time we change styles, the change seems to be better than the last.
It goes on and on.
Again, welcome. Glad to see you here and hope to see you here often.
