Thanks to this forum, I was able to do extensive research on e-cigs and decided the Joyetech 510 was the e-cig for me. It just came today and I am using and enjoying it now.

I am on the path to quitting analogs. Two years ago I started pipe smoking to cut down and it works. Not only do I smoke less analogs, I enjoy the pipe realize more. Talk about amazing tobacco flavor as well as very very low cost. During winter time, it is too cold to devote 30-45 minutes outside to enjoy a bowl, so i find myself sucking down the analogs much more. During warm weather i will always pick up the pipe before the cig.

Two weeks ago my friend got one of those "gas station" e-cigs (it is definitely helping him quit)and I thought that if I get one, I can smoke indoors in the winter so I don't smoke analogs.

My initial internet search lead to many fake review sites and FREE e-cig scams. Good thing I didn't bite. Then i found this forum and WOW, i didn't realize how complicated vaping good hardware could get. At first i was overwhelmed, but after a week of researching the forum and watching videos I knew what to get, how to use it, and what to expect.

I got my Joyetech 510 from litecigusa.com because it was a good price and people said that website sells legit Joyetech. I also got two 10ml bottles of Dekang USA mix and Energy Cow because i wanted to try a tobacco and sweet flavor. Both are 16mg strength.

Got the kit today, started charging the batteries, blew the primer out of the atty and dropped my juice on the wick, did the straw mod to the cartridge, using a syringe I dripped into the cartridge(I got 8ml of USA mix in pretty quick so the straw mod worked well), put the whole thing together, waited a few min then took my first pull.

There was no nasty flavor from primer. The flavor is alright, not much like tobacco, no perfume taste like some people report the Dekang fluid has. I don't think ill buy USA mix again. After a few pulls I am getting the hang of vaping properly. The 16mg is relaxing but not overwhelming. I am very happy with this kit.

I just would like to thank the ECF Community for guiding me in the right direction.

Thank You

Congratulations on making this step and welcome to ECF! I hope it works well for you and makes the switch initially painless and eventually fun. The journey to find flavors you like and the size and battery life you prefer will eat up some of your savings from cigarettes initially, but the payoff in your breathing and health will be noticeable. Good luck!

Thanks. I just stared vaping some Energy Cow. I like it better then USA mix but they both have a similar taste. I can't describe it... Almost like plain popcorn. Is it normal vape taste due to PG or VG or is it the Dekang taste?

The 16mg is good strength but i think i can go up a notch because I would like to take a few pulls and be satisfied.

I plan on getting premium e-juice but am not sure from where though. Im looking at Ms. T's or Alien Visions because a lot of people here praise those suppliers. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. And should I be concerned that Alien Visions juice is primarily VG? From what I understand, too much VG makes the juice too thick.

Also down the road I think I might get the CE3 clearomizers because they are cheaper then getting new attys.

Hey Jwalt83,

Like i metioned before in this thread, the CE3 clearomizers are combined atomizers and tanks. A lot of people like them a lot and more importantly they are cheaper then buying replacment atomizers. I recomend you check them out. I havent used them yet but i plan on getting them because replacment atomizers are a lot more expensive.

welcome to the forums.

best way for me to save money is learning to DIY liquids and rebuilding atomizers. there are now cheap Chinese genesis style ones that work pretty good. there is a bit of learning curve especially with liquids and flavors but for someone like me who doesn't want to spend a lot of money is the best choice.

You might want to try cartomizers on your 510 once you find a liquid you like. They hold about double the amount of liquid that a cart holds.

Hey Newbnevandre,

I ordered my Joyetech 510 from litecigusa.com. I recommend that you do a good deal of research (poking around this forum) before you buy so you get exactly what you need.

The Joyetech 510 is cigarette shaped and I consider it a "light duty" e-cig. It doesn't make clouds of vapor and the battery wont last all day. But I plan on using it a couple times a day and i don't need huge hits. I get nice hits that deliver the nicotine i want.

The ego twist is an e-cig that a lot of people really like. I think that you can adjust the voltage to have more control of you vaping. It is more heavy duty for extended use and big hits.
