Just dropped in to say "Hi". PAD for about 30 years and have tried many times to quit and nothing has been successful until I started vaping. Been at it now for about 3 months and do not miss the analogs at all! I've been reading the ECF for about that long, too. You guys have helped me tremendously! Maybe one day, I will be able to put up one of those banners of how much I've saved, but for now, I would be afraid to know how much I've out-spent my old habit! I feel that I might be on the down-side of the spending slope as I've gotten a little more "settled" into my routine.

Welcome. :)
I'm still new, too. Have been vaping totally since Aug 2. I found I spent alot at first on equipment, but now I'm getting to know what I like and what maintenance will be and it should be affordable (I rolled my own though so it smoking wasn't as expensive for me.). I like it better than smoking. More fun!
I too tried every way to quit....was smoking as long as you...but I'm not saying how many years :p. Hang in there.

Welcome to ECF and the woderful world of vaping. I have tosay i'm in the same clib as both of you had tried everything to quit found vaping to be the only thing that worked. I think it is easy to spend money on this as it is easier for it to become a hobby more than a habit. Some people colllect coins, some p.v's. If saving money is what your looking for there are still ways to do it. Congrats on the three months hang in there!

When I started vaping I didn't try to quit smoking. Did both at first and then I realized I liked the vaping much better and the next thing I knew I wasn't smoking anymore. :D

I quit analogs when I started vaping. After a month, I thought I wanted a real smoke. I lit up and took two puffs, then put it out! NASTY!! That was the last time I did that.

Thanks, Madriz! I don't really mind spending the money on something that I like. Like you said, it's more of a hobby. I'm still trying to find that illusive "all-day-vape juice". So many vendors...

HNCSTO, I got one convert notch on my belt and have another one nibbling the bait!

Thats great to hear as far as juices there are as many great options out there as there are colors in the rainbow! Sampler packs are a good place to start once you find what flavors you like the most I.E: mints, fruit, tobacco, etc. Heck they even have crazy flavors like bacon, crab .

LM - What types of flavors do you like?

Hmmmm. That's a tough question!! I've been sampling a lot of different kinds - fruits, sweets, tobaccos, and combinations of the two. I'm finding that I lean more towards a fruit/tobacco blend, like peach, apple, blueberry. I really want to find a good vanilla, but just haven't found one that suits my tastes. They are either too weak, or too custardy. I have so many different samples that, in order to use them up rather than toss them, I've started mixing some. Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't!
Two that I always have on hand are Mountain Oak Vapors Blue Ridge and Orange Creamsicle. So far, those are my favorites.

LM - AwesomeClouds.com is having a Contest and Sale at present...50% off through Labor Day

Wil, AC's proprietor has a very good, potent and spicey Vanilla Tobacco.

Also, VermillionRiverejuice.com has Kentucky Vanilla Blend. It's an interesting tobacco. It takes a milliliter or so before it grabs you, but many consider it a very good vape.

Thanks! I'll have to check out AC. I did get a sample pack from Vermillion River ( I believe it was the very first one I ordered ). I don't remember the vanilla being to my liking though. Maybe I should give it another try. I've got Vanilla Dream on the way from Heather's. I read good things about that one. Hopefully, it should be here next week.

The longer I vape, the more I realize that there is no such thing as an "all-day-vape"...for me anyway. I don't want to speak for others. Once I find that "all-day-vape" I quickly find another that becomes my "all-day-vape". I guess it could be better described as a "double rotation"...an ever-evolving elite group (albeit small) of e-liquids that I rotate throughout the day(s) where some will be replaced by a better liquid that comes along. As a 40-year dedicated Marlboro Man, this "double rotation" scheme runs utterly counter to my past habit.
