Hi all,

I just joined a few days ago and am very impressed with the wealth of knowledge here. I smoked around a pack of Camel Menthols per day for almost five years before I started vaping on Wednesday the 23rd, 2014. I had used some of my friends vapes on occasion, so I wasn't completely new to the experience. However, I decided instead of buying any more smokes, I would pull the trigger on a new ecig.

When I went to my local B&M, I purchased a MVP 2 and two bottles of local made ejuice. A couple of days later, I had the pleasure of dealing with the helpful crew at Nashville Vapor while on vvacation. While there, I purchased a Pro Tank mini 2 and 10mls of their Prof. Marvel's Master Blend and I really wish I had purchased more as it is very tasty.

As with any new thing that piques my interest, I have delved into my new addiction headfirst and plan to expand my collection quite a bit. However, in keeping with one of my reasons for replacing smoking with vaping, I will take my time and choose my purchases carefully in order to save money in the long run.

In the past, any forum I've joined I've always been a lurker and rarely, if ever, posted. I hope to change that this go around because I have seen many strong friendships born in my years lurking but have never had any of my own.

Anyways, I apologize for the wall of text but I believe that small details make the story. Oh yeah, I'm proud to say that I've been tobacco-free for over two weeks now.

Happy vaping :)

Welcome to ECF from a fellow vape newbie, I also dive head first into everything I do. Already bought 3 mods, several tanks, a few batteries and lots of juice in two weeks, on top of all of that Im already trying my hand at building coils. Im right up the road from Nashville and will look into the juice you mentioned. Im off the analogs for a week now after 25 years and loving it so far, its going to be cheaper for me in the long run plus the flavors are endless. Happy Vaping!

Thanks and congratulations to you as well. I'm beginning to realize that the key in this game to saving money over smokes is DIY. Not saying money is the main reason for making the switch, but it sure is an appreciated bonus haha.

That is one of the big ones. I have a tight budget and doing my own juice mixes saves me a ton.

This was in my unread pile, so I thought I'd pipe up!

Congrats on joining ECF! Welcome! Don't worry about providing help right off, feel free to just ask a ton of questions and do your research. Later you will be able to help people, for now just soak in the knowledge. It seems like there is always someone with great answers and willing to help trouble shoot. It's all faceless so there is no dumb questions :)

I'm on a lot, then off for a good period of time, then come back :)

I've been vaping for a year this month!
I thought it would be a money saver too... And that's not quite the case... It seems like most active ECF members get the "ooh! Shiny!" Disease to some degree... I thought "no, not me" at first... But denial is the first step ;) but seriously, I can quit whenever I want! Lol

I think I'm up to 1500 total spent on juice, batteries, mods, and all other vaping goodness... And I don't have any high end fancy authentics either! I guess a pack a day habit would be about $5 * 365, but I was never a pack a day smoker.

Good luck to all on your journeys!
