It's been said a hundred times before, it's not about how many you smoke, it's how many you avoid! Everyone has a different experience when it comes to quitting, some folks just need a little more time than others, and there's nothing wrong with that!

Welcome, Joey, and enjoy your stay!

Welcome Joey! Just wait, there will come a day when you find your perfect all day vape and you will wonder why you ever liked the taste of cigarettes. When I first started vaping, I had to have 3-4 smokes throughout the day, like when I woke up, or after dinner - the habit dies hard! I remember the panicked feeling when I was running out of smokes, and I decided I didn't want to be a slave to that anymore. Now I have an addiction to buying new gear, but I'm OK with that :p
Good luck to you!

I would suggest to increase nic level a bit. You will not need stinkies any more. Still enjoy the experience sooner or later you will come to the geek, " how I ever...." :)
Welcome and good luck.
When i first tried ans gave up vaping i was using 18,24, even 36 to try to get rid of those urges to no availe, this time i started at 6mg and i wouldnt really even say im having urges as much as some days i would just like a smoke. I dont feel i need it i just want one. Its wierd how i failed with higher mg but am suceeding alot better with the lower mg.

on the whole it depends mostly to the brain. With my first inhale in the trying, I had decided that this can replace smoking. I never looked back since. I suggested increase the nic level for that conseption. Because once your brain accepts the fact it is over.
Personally, I never knew my nic level. If it is good it is good for me. I buy 24mg/ml and add VG to my hearts content. (see I am a retired man and if you sell 24mg/ml price same as 9mg/ml I buy 24 and dilute it to my liking level.)
Also I did not intend to put an end to smoking. I liked smoking. (still do. now it is vaping) I did not give up consuming nicotine I changed the way to get it. Suppose they get everything away? I presume I smoke again. Even if now the smell of a cigarette is repelling for me I accept the fact if no alternative I should smoke again but not when there is e cigarettes.

Hello, Joey and welcome to ECF. When I started vaping I told myself it was to quit smoking. However, I found many excuses to continue with the cigs. When I finally decided I wanted to quit I went to the B&M and talked to a guy and layed it all on the line. He helped me pick out a mod and tank that was in my price range then we picked out a juice that I liked. I started with a tobacco flavor and then we talked nic level. I started at 18 mg and found that was very satisfying for me. I had set my quit day to be my birthday. I didn't buy any more cigs and on my 61st birthday I had my last cig. Of course, since it was the last one in my last pack I went into panic mode. I did not weaken and started really chain vaping. After a while the panic subsided and I am so glad that I didn't give in to the temptation. I am cigarette free and today when I bought my juice I got 3 mg and it is very satisfying. Be proud of the ones you haven't had and concentrate on your progress. One thing I would recommend you do is get a vaping buddy. Someone you can talk to that will help you with your continued vaping and giving up the analogs. I'm proud of you, keep up the good work.
