Hello,

I've decided to make the switch from analog to electronic and this seemed like a great place with tons of information on vaping. I've been lurking for about a week and decided to make an account.

Over the past month, I've done a decent amount of research and placed an order for my first mod, atomizer, and eJuice today.

For my mod, I chose to go with the ProVari V2 (not feeling the cosmetic changes on the V2.5) due to its many positive reviews.

For my atomizer, I chose to go with the Vision Eternity Rebuildable Atomizer (mainly due to its price and reviews, will definitely consider upgrading to a more expensive RBA once I become a little more experienced). I've watched reviews on Youtube including P.Busardo's (a great review and how to for this specific atomizer) and am pretty confident that I'll be able to use it correctly. I chose an RBA because I have a dislike for disposable things. However, I am new to vaping and the whole atomizer vs. cartomizer vs. RBA vs. etc is really confusing  and would greatly appreciate any advice you guys have to offer.

For eJuice, I ordered White Rabbit and Zombie Apocalypse from AiV along with Boba's Bounty and Havana from Alien Visions.

A little bit about myself:

-Smoked analog cigarettes since 16 (now 21).
-From Southern California.
-Main reason for starting to vape is the reduced health risks as opposed to smoking analog cigarettes.
-Hope to become a good, contributing member in the forum community.

tl;dr

Sorry for the long introduction. In short, I'm a new vapor hoping to successfully make the change from analog to electronic cigarettes. Great to meet everyone!

Welcome fellow So Cal Vaper!

Looks like you're jumping in with both feet... I'm a bit envious, here I am with a basic tube mod and 510 attys for dripping... LOL

Its cheap and reliable.... :)

There's a ton of info here.... READ... I could have avoided many mistakes, an additional year of smoking and saved a ton of money had I found this forum and read BEFORE giving up on vaping the first time....

Where in So cal are you from?

I'm in OC, Huntington Beach specifically.

Sent from the ether using the power of my mind... and the Tapatalk app.

Hello and welcome!

The eternity is a great rba and you cant go wrong with the provari. Don't over fill the eternity, I recommend maybe twenty drops the first time, let it sit for a while. Keep the voltage on the provari around 3.6. You'll notice a change in taste and a slight burnt flavor when it runs dry. At that point I'll add about 10 drops. The tank wick is a piece of cake to replace. I've been using 36g Kanthal-D (couldn't find A) with a 3/2 wrap and get about 2.2 ohms wrapped around 1mm silica doubled. The replacement wicks that come with it are a bit short.

I replaced the spike wick today with cotton and was blown away with the flavor. That's a little more involved but can be done. It gets burnt after a couple weeks as it sits on top of the coil.

As far as other rebuildables along the genesis style take a look at the Aga T as a inexpensive intro. The Aga T2 is just coming out, I have one on preorder. It comes with a pyrex tube and addresses some of the issues with the original.

I've gone from Blu's to clearos, the eternity, the Aga and now discovering "real" cartomizers and it just keeps getting better. Your right there is a lot of options out there. Just take it slow and enjoy. You'll find what works best for you.
