Has anyone found a way to get NET to be more friendly in a pod system?

I have been running so many experiments, but I have never cared or taken much joy in the flavors of e-liquid before these NETs I got from Real Tobacco Extracts. So I don’t have much experience. Everything points to having to get an RTA of some kind and get into buildibles, but I really enjoy the size and functionality of these auto draw pod systems and it just seems like there has to be a way to get NET liquid to work better and last longer with them.

NET juices are the first time I have ever legitimately enjoyed vaping. As a person who smoked two packs of Camel Wides a day for 20 years, I never fully considered how important the flavor I associate with nicotine is to the experience of vaping. I don’t associate watermelon with my enjoyment of nicotine, so it will never fully satisfy me. It’s fascinating that since having those genuine tobacco flavor back how much better my memory has been of those decades. And then having the taste of cigarettes from an inhale activated pod system is just really enjoyable, but I imagine will get expensive and wasteful…since the pods can maybe go a day or so before spent.

Have any of you had a similar experience?

If you order from Italian shops or stores in your country that import Italian products, you'll notice that there are now more filtered tobacco lines than extracted ones, which tend to gunk up coils. Depending on their processing, they allow you to vape between 20 and 60 ml. Of course, flavor and intensity drop significantly, often leaving only top notes.

Look for brands like Blendfeel, TNT, and Angolo della Guancia. Tabacchificio 3.0 has a line called SET, which should be one of the most intense, offering around 15 ml per coil. I have a friend who vapes organic extracts directly on a Nautilus 3 and similar setups, diluting them to about 5%.
Unfortunately, these liquids are quite expensive. The most affordable options are TNT’s Twenty One line, which includes all single tobacco flavors, and Dreamods' Foglia Oro line. If you prefer strong tobaccos, go for Oriental and Latakia—Black Cavendish and Virginia tend to have a much milder taste.

Edit: inawera/flavorika has 3 tobaccos that can be considered predecessors of microfiltered ones: Cuban Cigar, Virginia, and Garuda, along with Drop Tobacco.

Garuda, if you've ever tried it, is similar to a Bezuki but even lighter. Drop Tobacco is also a leaf tobacco used for Cuban cigars—sharp, with little body, but pleasant every now and then. They have the advantage of being extremely cost-effective since they are diluted at just 2-3%.

Since they have several Virginia options in their catalog, the right one should be called Tobacco Absolut or AB.
I don't know if you're interested in fruity flavors, but they also have a line of NET-like liquids, very gentle on coils, called "Shisha" or "S" perfect for layering over tobacco flavors. My favorite is the mango—completely different from synthetic ones. The lime is also very similar to a maceration I made myself using an organic lemon from my garden.

Unfortunately, flavors like strawberry and coconut are closer to synthetic ones, but they are still rounder and more pleasant.

Thanks for the info! I have a fond affection for Izmer Turkish tobacco and English Bright Virginia. I’m a little concerned with losing all the flavor and am curious about filtering.

Like Black Note released a Special Blend that I blindly bought since I was new and thought all NETs would measure up to Real Tobacco Extracts and it is supposed to last up to 60ml per pod, but the flavor tastes almost exactly like the VGOD Dry Tobacco and every other synthetic tobacco juice I’ve ever had where peanut butter, vanilla or caramel are supposed to simulate it. However the juice itself is very high quality, just doesn’t capture the profile to the point that I think the ingredients are a lie.

Would you say the Italian shops are along those lines or more true flavor dominant?

Thanks for the info!
Izmir is often used specifically for the tobacco called "Oriental." The only exception, I believe, is Tabacchificio, which uses Prilep for its Oriental instead. (I don't know if you've ever vaped Basma, but it's closer to it, while still being different.) So, every "Oriental" you see is İzmir.

Tabacchificio 3.0 has several blends where it uses Bright Virginia (along with the Lemon and Red variants).
The SET line (gentler on coils) includes Django American Blend and Halfzware. The other Virginias you find can be considered "Italian," as this tobacco is also grown here, along with Kentucky (used in Toscano cigars). Although it isn’t classified as bright, it still has the honeyed and hay-like notes of bright Virginia. I’m not sure how much it differs from the English variety. If you're looking for a hybrid between the two worlds Oriental and bright Virginia try Red Virginia: it’s spicier and woodier but still sweet.

About Black Note: Their products are very weak in terms of aroma. The only one worth trying is the Latakia, which is said to be made from Syrian seed and produced in Syria.

About Italian shops: We are the country that produced the most tobacco extracts by far, with 10 years of experience. While the rest of the world was with 200 watts mods and cloud atomizers, we were vaping extracts in MTL, and to this day, rebuildables are still used specifically for them. Unfortunately, since January 2025, many producers have stopped making them or had to completely reformulate their extracts and remove even the smallest percentage of nicotine, as nicotine itself can no longer be sold online, even in minimal amounts.
But the filtered or purified tobacco you’re looking for haven’t been reformulated.

If you want to get an idea about the prices, search for the shop Emporio Pan on Google, as I know they ship abroad.

I've run drakes Nets in pod kits before, just make sure if doing via concentrate rather than premade bottles you mix 50/50 or slightly higher Pg 60/40 my go-to in a mix, for an NET drakes is pretty coil friendly, they also do shortfill and longfill kits

Thank you so much!

I am located in the USA, when you say “we” you were referring to Italia not shipping nicotine, right? Cause I have visited many Italian shops online and none of them deliver to the USA. But I am excited to check out Emporio Pan, see my options.

I have tried Red Virginia from RTE (Real Tobacco Extracts) it’s pretty good, but wouldn’t be a first choice. I have tried a few Oriental profiles, and they are all pretty close to the Izmir I enjoy. Some of the Bulgarian leafs are amazing as well.

And I agree about Black note…Latakia was passably good, but still a coil killer.

Speaking of rebuildables— have RTAs finally evolved to feature an autodraw/inhale activated firing function? I have just started looking into it, but have not found suitable descriptions. Some like the voodoo drag x pro say they have an “auto” and a “manual” mode, but don’t expand on what auto exactly means.
Any idea?

They look like a great company! Not sure if they’d ship to the United States! How many refills would you say you get from a pod while retaining flavor?

Oh, I thought you were from the UK. Ordering could indeed be problematic or quite expensive. When I say "we," I mean Italy, but while Europe might seem small to you Americans, each country has completely different laws when it comes to vaping.

"Auto" means you don't have to press the fire button (manual); there's a small sensor in the pod compartment that detects when you take a puff. In pod systems designed to be held like a regular cigarette, it gives the feeling of holding a real cigarette.
The flavor performance between the two draw methods obviously doesn't change.

No worries. America is very weird about vaping these days…between these pod systems and the advent of small high functioning disposables. The people tend to hide the fact that they vape, even from each other…but damn if there isn’t 1 out of every five cars that I find at a red light hitting their vape in shame. Among other reasons, it’s a very strange time in my country.

Europe is certainly not small, but yes the vaping laws between countries has been very interesting to learn about. Equally interesting, considering how much people smoke in most countries, especially Italy where my family is from, and the UK where many of my friends are from.

So, the RTAs can 100% function like a pod system now? :) Have you tried any that you’d recommend? I’d prefer a smaller cylindrical device, as I do enjoy the feeling of holding a cigarette coupled with the NET tobacco flavors. However, my month of tests and now speaking with the fine folks on this forum have definitely illuminated how much less I could be spending.

My tests and experiments have only elongated the pod life by half a day, which is still significantly less to maintain (approx $3 a “pack”/pod) than cigarettes today (approx $17 a pack). BUT before I found these liquids I actually love…the synthetics went way farther averaging $0.25-0.50 a pack/pod, and it seems like the only way to recapture that price target with NETs is to succumb to rebuildables and call it a day. Sadly, I just don’t know where to begin…it’s been like 15 years since I messed around with them.

this completely depends on your device, your coils/pod, lower resistance higher the power, your air flow, your PG VG mix, your concentrate level, Drake's may not, necessarily be able to send the longfill with nic shots but provided you could cover the postage and accept responsibility if the product doesn't turn up because of customs, I cannot see why they wouldn't send... They may however be able to send the long fill bottles with concentrate only, you have to source your own supply of nicotine, possibly vg & Pg too dependent on your nicotine requirement. It could be worth reaching out to them

Thanks man! I will try!

I have tried mine on six pod systems across all resistances the coils come in from 0.6-1.2 ohms…the best results and longest lasting were the 0.8 ohm Vaporesso Corex 2.0 mesh coil pods they don’t burn out, but they eventually taste like nothing. The device I’ve enjoyed the most has been the Geekvape Wenax M2 with the cigarette filter drip tip at 0.8 ohm. It is basically a revelation, as it just feels right in every way. As long as I don’t chainvape it too hard it lasts all day before getting gunked up to hell— 2 days if I filter the NET liquid through cotton to get rid of some of the plant matter.

Tend to keep the pg/vg ratio 50/50, but now am closer to 60/40… the best result was diluting 60/40 with 10% distilled water, but not sure it’s super smart or safe to vape any percentage of water. But damn did that pod hold up for a few days, and still retain its flavor and hasn’t crapped out, but just being cautious I guess. Need to read some more as I don’t wanna get pneumonia for the love of NETs haha

Curious how drakes will hold up and how they produce it to work well with these pods. Thanks again for the suggestion!

What devices and pods have you been using for NETs?

Voopoo doric 20 se was my favourite however I purchased the Ito pod separately for the coils as this is what I preferred, the pods are better life I just found that slight edge of sharpness in flavour with the coils, the Caliburn G3 was a good run, and the new voopoo Argus series, you can also buy Ito pods for these too

I would avoid using water, aqueous glycerin in place of Pg if you have an allergy to PG maybe the key time when you're mixing especially any NETS IS GIVING A DECENT STEEP TIME!!! UNLESS IT'S PRE-MADE.

What could be an idea to consider is looking into a proper device like something with an 18650 battery half decent mod, and perhaps looking into rebuildables this is where nets shine!! Not going to lie to you there is a lot of maintenance involved lots of cleaning and re-wicking and recoiling but that is the nature of the game regarding naturally extracted tobacco
