Thank you :)

Hi Mike, welcome to ECF... It's full of good folk and good info :)

Hello. Thank you :) And yes, I've already beginning to feel that. Seen a lot of good info, already.

Welcome to ECF Mike!
Are you using an e-cigarette? If so, how's it working for you? Even if you aren't vaping at the moment, if you have any questions, let us know.

I was a pack a day smoker. Have recently reduced it to 4-5 cigarettes a day. Haven't started using e-cigarette yet but I will soon and that's the main reason why I joined this forum. I'd like to learn about it first before I start using it. :)

A HS bio teacher! You should have fun in the DIY section :p

Lol, what's the DIY section? Sorry, I'm not familiar with the abbreviations yet :p

DIY = Do It Yourself. As in mixing your own ejuice. Just do a search within the forums for DIY, or search in youtube. You will find many videos and threads with advice as well as recipes other members enjoy.

Biology is about studying living organism :p A chemistry teacher would be more interested in mixing stuff and all :p

Thank you for this. This is really helpful :)

Here ya go Mike - DIY e-liquid
and if you do like do-it-yourself type stuff, might be interested in this section - Modders Forum

Although, to start out I would suggest checking out the vendors toward the bottom of the main forum page for pre-made liquid (think sampler packs to try different flavors) and e-cigarettes. If you ask here what to buy, you'll get as many suggestions as there are members :); but a basic eGo/Riva/ePower type e-cigarette would be my suggestion.

Hey there, TomCatt. Thanks for the links and the suggestions, dude :) Actually, to be honest, I never thought I would use e-cigarettes until about a week back.. so this thing is still pretty new to me. I'll be spending a lot of time in this forum and making new friends and learning about the e-cigarettes before I finally decide to buy 'em. :)

    in a cave, eh?
Hi Mike. Welcome to the forum.

Lots of people here will jump at a chance to offer suggestions for an e-cigarette, so don't hesitate to ask. The following details will help narrow down your criteria:

    • Does it need to look and feel like a cigarette?
    • Is battery life more important than a small-sized e-cig?
    • Are you okay will filling your own cartomizers or would you prefer the more expensive, but more convenient prefilled?
    • How much are you currently smoking?
    • Do you need a juice that mimics the taste of your current smoke or are you open to other suggestions?

When you start, you can use your kit to reduce the number of cigarettes you smoke and get comfortable with vaping before deciding to quit cigarettes completely.
