Hello everyone. My name is Bill. I've recently been diagnosed with COPD and am working on quitting smoking so I've recently bought a vaporizer. I'm new to this whole vapor scene so please bear with me as I'm not familiar with the lingo or names of parts. With that being said my battery pack is a sigma with a digital display and my tank is a gold kangertech. Now the issue I'm having is I can't tilt my vaorizer or lay my vaporizer down without the oil pouring or leaking out the intake holes. I bought it brand new and this has happened since day 1. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

No i haven't tried to replace the coil yet. I've only had it maybe a week and the guy that sold it to me told me absolutely nothing I've been trying to figure or all out on my own. The vg/pg ratio? I have no idea and unfortunately I'm not home at the moment. But my liquid seems pretty think of course what do I know I'm a n00b lol. What is a good ratio? I usually have my vaporizer sry at 3.0 volts/15.00 watts. Should I have it higher? I tried 4.5v and the oil crackles and pops and hot oil hits my mouth and hurts

Hm, ok, well your e-liquid(which isn't oil) should be at least 50VG/50PG, higher VG will mean thicker e-liquid, you should be fine up to 80VG/20PG with those coils. If you have too high of VG then it won't wick well, if you have too high of PG then it may be too thin and pass straight through your cotton.

As to your wattage 3V is REALLY low, you're probably flooding your cotton by sucking in liquid faster than it can vaporize it, which is what's causing the spitback at higher wattage and could be causing your flooding and leaking.

I would suggest watching some video's on YouTube, here's a good intro one:

There's definitely some stuff to learn when using kind of the mid range style devices like you have, but once you get it down you'll see it's actually pretty simple. But generally you want to start around 3.7V or equivalent wattage for your coil and then work up slowly from there until you find the wattage that provides the type of vape you enjoy.
