Hey.

I'm from the States, but doing done work in the land of sand right now, and started vaping. Beats cigarettes, and maybe I'll even live longer! ;)

I signed up because you guys were the top hit on Google for my question (yes, it was "Can I drink e-liquid?"). Don't judge me.

There is not much to do in the desert, so smoking cigs has been a big pass-time. However, I consider it straight poison.

That said, vaping, whether you think it's safe or not, has to be 1000X safer than smoking, so here I am.

I spent waaaaay more than I should have on some Chinese Fuchai 213, and juice is overpriced and selection is scarce.

I will undoubtedly have more questions other than how much e-liquid I can drink without dropping dead, so here I am.

I haven't looked around here much, but I promise to try and do a search before I ask something that you've already answered 50 times before lunch.

Thanks all!

Welcome to ECF!

According to England Public Health vaping is at least 95% safer than smoking.

I would advise against drinking e-juice unless it contains little to no nicotine. Nicotine is a poison but the amount that is absorbed through vaping is very small. Drink it and you get much more. A full grown person would probably need to drink quite a bit for it to kill you but it would probably make you very sick for a long while. There was a news story about a child that died after drinking a bottle but the details are scarce.

Hi ans welcome! I imagine vape supplies might be difficult to come by there. There are a number of people around here from other Middle East countries who might pipe in with suggestions of reliable sources at reasonable prices for vape gear and juice.

And yeah, try not to drink it. It just won't be the same experience as vaping.:):)

Yeah, I just couldn't help myself. Hey, they can't call it DONUTS and not expect a few people to taste them, LoL.

Based solely on the ingredients, I would guess the "95% safer" to be somewhat accurate.

Yeah, there are a few shisha shops who sell juice, and I even found a shop (that sells cell***** cases) where a guy sells all sorts of things, like juice, mods, and even seems a bit obsessed with coils and stuff.

I've mostly bought Nasty Juice, and Goo*** tells me it comes from Malaysia.

Definitely slim pickings here.

Thanks for the nice welcome, it's much appreciated!

Sorry about the "testing" post and having to edit some words with asterisks. I got a warning saying my post wouldn't go through because it looked like SPAM.

Wow, cellphones and Google are clearly spamlike, and may potentially corrupt the souls of children everywhere. That's cold. :D

Do you see others vaping in Saudi? Is it a laid back scene or are there restrictions?

on The DL, yes. doing it out and about, no.

they have a home delivery here. its pretty dang convenient.
Tell us more about that. What is DL? Are you saying people living in visitor compounds are okay but not citizens living in the rest of the country? I've heard the smoking rate there is high. Are they protecting cigarette taxes?

I assume he means on the Down Low.

Ana I vape at my hotel and anywhere. Assumed it wasn't an issue, but in a country as restrictive as Saudi Arabia I should probable find out the rules. Meh...

So, I stopped using the Uwell Crown and started using the Vape Geek Griffin 25 (with top airflow).

No offense to Crown, but the Griffin 25 leaves it in the dust in every aspect, and hardly takes any time to re-wick it.

I really liked the Crown until I tried the Griffin. I just assumed that you'd NEVER get a super tasty hit with a coil after the first dozen hits or so, but the Griffin shows that you CAN get amazing hits every time for days straight.

First 2 coils I've made have come out perfect (as far as I can see), but now trying to wrap my head around watts, ohms, etc. I only made the second one because I wanted to mess around with coils, not because it needed replacing.

I used a coil master kit. Is that cheating, or is it just common sense to do things the easy way?

In Thailand at the moment, so stocked up on juice before heading back to the dreaded desert. [emoji247][emoji266]

I'm sure I'll have questions soon enough (after I've read everything first, of course), so humor me. [emoji12]

My duel coils are showing a total resistance of .35 Ohms and I'm using about 31 watts on my Funchai 213. I guess that means I like a "cool" vape?

24ga Kanthal A1, wrapped around 8 times with a 3.0 inner diameter.

See anything I'm doing TERRIBLY wrong?

Thanks all, and like I said, I've only built 2 coils and am in the process of figuring out the technical side of things.
