Greetings vapers! My name is Will, and let me start by saying, I've been to a fair share of forums before, none of which no matter the subject matter have been as informative as this one. Kudos! So here's my story. In my younger days (I'm only 19 so that feels a little weird to say) I had to be the cool kid. And in order to be the cool kid I fell into smoking cigarettes. My father has smoked my whole life so I was familiar with the look, and the smells, and I knew I didn't like it. But there I was, 14 years old, WAY to young, and completely stupid, hanging out with the wrong group of people and I wound up with a cigarette in between my fingers, no one's fault but my own. And so it began. A pack a week became a pack a day, and so on. So, here I am at 19 years old, I could care less about being the cool kid. I would be the awesome kid had I never touched the things but we can't reverse the past. After evaluating what I had been spending on cigarettes I was floored. There are SO many more things I would like to be spending that money on; so, I had the bright idea to quit. Even with a relatively short smoking career compared to most, quitting was no simple challenge. So, after merely contemplating quitting, one day I show up to work and a co-worker of mine has his PV. "What is that thing?" being my first thought. It wasn't some gas station analog look alike. It was something I'd never seen. I came to learn that it was an ego. After trying his, and getting paid I had my own. I liked it a bit. The plethora of flavors was what really drug me in. After a couple of weeks using my ego, not completely analog free (two or 3 a week) I began to take in the world of vaping. Unfortunately, about a month in I had a mishap... my cat chewed through my charger.... so, not having any other options at my disposal, I went back to analogs. I replaced the charger, but being back on analogs I didn't really have the motivation anymore. That was until I got my newest mod. My L-Rider Lavatube. All I can say is, WOW! Been using this thing exclusively since I got it and it works phenomenally! No desire to have an analog like when I was on my ego. I love the variable voltage, and the look of it. Bit of a long post for an intro, but that's my story. Really enjoying the world of vaping, and I think I've truly found my savior to kick my nasty analog habit. Can't wait to become more involved in the community here, and meet some new people. Just wanted to say hello. Happy vaping!

Hiya Will - thanks for posting your story. Smart move to go with ecigs. I started smoking very young because I thought it was cool too. It ended up being an expensive, smelly habit. Vaping is actually much cooler - so many flavors, cool devices, and not smelly. :2cool:

Glad you like the lavatube. I'm kicking back with a Zmax right now.

Hey Will! Happy to see you make the change, and see you here on ECF. Glad you like the Lavatube, it's a great device for the price. But like it's been said many places in this forum, its a new addiction/hobby, just a MUCH healthier one. SO many cool mods out there and who could say analogs could ever taste as great as blueberry and so much more ;). See ya at work bro :headbang:
