Hello Fellow Vapers!!!

Well I've been lurking in the background for just over 6 months now, reading threads, walkthroughs, and just general conversations and I finally bit the bullet and registered to the forums (sorry it took so long!) As of today I have been analog free for 6 months 12 hours and 26 minutes!... I started vaping about 5 years ago when I was convinced to buy a Silver Bullet. It did not work for me, I think I dove in to quickly and ended up back on the analogs a few weeks later. Fast forward 4 1/2 years and I purchsed a 510 cigarette looking ecig and bam I havent looked back!! I have long surpassed the cig like 510s and am on to Egos, mods, and such. Just wish I had originally started smaller and I may have been 5 years analog free instead of just 6 months, but either way Im here now, I dont stink, I can taste my food, smell the flowers, and to top it off I can breathe!!!... Well thats my story in a nutshell, I just wanted to say Hi! and Happy vaping!

I'm impressed that you were able to quit with a 510, as I had the complete opposite experience.

I didnt use the 510 for too long about a month, but it gave me the cigarette feel that i think most smokers need (atleast I needed), after that I moved up to an ego, to an ego twist, and now Im on to a Vamo V2... I really think I needed that progression in order to not go back to the analogs. It has been a hard process considering everyone around me still smokes, but Im converting them one at a time. I also dont think I would have been able to do it without the wonderful people on these forums, their knowledge and experiences have helped me greatly!!

Same here, I think if I had found a Brick and Mortar Vape shop 6 years ago and had my eyes opened, I would have quit sooner. However, the time is right when the time is right. Even with all the controversy/ban legislation/big tobacco money, I still think vaping can only get stronger from here.

no the challenge wad quitting while having a 2 year old daughter. Stress levels are so high lol... so if I can do it, anyone can!

Welcome! My last analog was about two years ago. Get this, I was a pack a day smoker (sometimes much more) for about 45 years! If someone like me who had been smoking THAT long can quit, anyone can. I've always told people that I just love to smoke and still do, except that now, I vape! Here's an interesting thing from my past: When I served aboard a nuclear submarine in the early seventies, I would carry on board about 15 cartons of cigarettes for the patrol. Submerged for 60 days straight....it's best to have a lot of extra smokes! Now days, there is absolutely no smoking at all on any submarine. I wonder if they're vaping?
