Hi Robert and welcome to the forum. I totally agree with the posts above. If you have a lot of higher nicotine juice (say 12 mg for example), you can buy the same flavor in a zero nicotine and equally mix the two to cut the nicotine level in half to 6 mg. 1 part 12 mg + 1 part Zero mg = 2 parts of 6 mg. (shake well)

If you're using the 1.5 ohm coils you may not need to cut the nicotine as much but you will probably want to step it down some. If the vape is harsh or you get dizzy, stomach ill, or headaches the nic is too high.

The average high for sub ohm tanks is 6 mg and from what I've seen most people are using 3 mg or less to sub ohm. You'll just have to experiment to find out what level keeps you from smoking or having that craving.

I am a mouth to lung vaper so if this is what you do I would suggest getting a more restrictive (cheap $1) drip tip (mouthpiece) and you can continue to vape mouth to lung with the subtank.

Hi and welcome. +1 to the above; most people like to cut nic when going subohm, and higher VG is easier on the throat and makes impressive cloudy goodness. If you have any specific questions, we'll all be happy to take a swing at it. If there's anything around here that is in generous oversupply, it's opinion :)

Thanks all for the reply. I have understood that the nic needs to be lowered when going sub ohm. I am using the 1.5ohm coil at the moment that came with it But intend on switching to the 5 coil. I want both the throat hit and the impressive clouds. So any picks for juice? Like the sweet flavours, thought about making my own so any advice on that?

I DIY. I tend to prefer a 40PG/60VG mix and about 10-20% flavor with 3mg nic. But all of that is really personal and subjective. You'll have to cut and try, work it out on your own.

Thanks. Gonna order a diy kit in a week or so. Will do a bit of trial and error and see what comes out best.

My honest reply is yes, if you switch to sub-ohm/higher power vaping, you should/could probably reduce your Nicotine strength.

Being a generally cynical person when it comes to some vaping vendors and their attitude, I would say make your own mind about the strength you require and the 'quality' of the liquid you use.

Certainly in the UK, there are too many vendors that say...
1) you must vape low nicotine liquid and
2) you must vape high VG in subtanks....

..which leads to people buying more liquid generally, more coils and probably the most expensive liquid too... hardly a surprise...

Well if you DIY your own juice and wrap your own coils...you have the best of both worlds...ain't freedom a wonderful thing.
