Hi, I'm Becky in MI. A friend of mine got a coupon for a free ecig from Phillip Morris! I just knew it would happen! vaping is taking such a toll on BigCig companies. They decided to join instead of fight! I predict you will be able to find your "old" brand, [Marlboro, Kool, Winston...etc] in vape [juice] form in coming years. Has anyone seen the ecig from Phillip Morris?

Hi and welcome. When I first started vaping I wanted a Vape that tasted like a Marlboro. That passed within 2 days. After I tasted all the delicious flavors like vanilla butternut, blueberry, strawberry cream, I quickly realized I really don't need or want a tobacco taste to remind me of smoking.

I smoked for over 20 years at well over a pack a day. I loved my Marlboro lights too. I quit because vaping tastes better. In all honesty I don't trust big tobacco. They've been putting horrible chemicals in cigarettes for years. And they added extra additives that keep us addicted to keep buying. I wouldn't buy their products myself. If it were me I'd get the free product to try then buy from a different vendor.

Are you sure it's an e-cig? I think they're peddling a sort of "toaster" at the moment (uses tobacco). This would not be an e-cig 'cos e-cigs just use nicotine in a pg/vg solution.

I did a little research and it looks like they will be offering an ecig. I'm not sure if its actually been released yet though. The info I found on it talks about it as though it isn't on the market just yet. Maybe they are giving away free trials to see how people like it?

They also have another device that uses a real cigarette that sort of torches the end. Weird and flopped when it was first introduced in 1999.

Thanks EB - I wasn't aware of an actual ecig they were launching. Is this a DSE103/cig-a-like kind of thing? If they don't like it we've kept the form factor alive?

Hi there!! *waves* I'm new too, we (my fiance a heavy smoker since he was 9 and we're over 50) quit smoking almost four weeks ago (Saturday, Yeah!! and we're doing great!!) I'd tried those Blu ciggies and I just wanted another ciggie after those. A friend used a Russian/Nemisis Mod and Suicide Bunny's Mother's Milk, and that was it, I was hooked, w/o the crankies, headaches, munchies from quitting smoking (as in the past when I'd tried to stop)

No I haven't seen Phillip Morris in the market, but I'll bet they're going to branch off into Weed ciggies probably before they do the vaping stuff.

edit that back reading an article that they just bought up Britain's Nicocigs (about ten bucks and has cartridges).

I know they're feeling the PINCH of all us "quitters"

Ah - nicocigs. They might be the ones they sell in pharmacies over here (pretty primitive cartridge jobs imho - but ymmv).

They are taking the mick with the prices of these 100 puff nonsense e-cigs.

Vype often does less than 90 puffs. The yield is probably around 10mg at best. (It contains 18mg, but we all know what that means in the real world).

90 pathetic puffs and 10mg for £5.99.

Agreed. But we live on this forum. I'm glad that you can get any old pants e-cig in a chemist, because it would fire curiosity from smokers. I know when I started on cig-a-likes I just kept thinking "Stick with it - it can only get better." And LO! So it was.

What a large company with a new product will often do is target a specific market in a geographic region by marketing it directly (and only) to consumers in that area, then measuring the interest and revenues (per capita) from the product.

This is why many people around the country may not see something new that others are reporting in their areas. It's the test balloon model.
