My name is Rusty and I'm a Vaporizer fanboy. Here is my little ole Vapo-history for you to get to know me better.
I'm not a smoker, If I bought a pack of "Analogs" they would go stale before I smoked half of them. I do enjoy the occasional smoke, (Cigar, Pipe, Cigarette) but have never gotten hooked. Honestly by the time I'm half finished with one, I'm done, and it seems like a waste.
My job takes me to retail locations, some in malls. A Smoking Anywhere cart popped up next to one of my stores, run by some good looking, suave, and aggressive folks (with cool Russian accents to boot). I was intrigued but the gadget factor. When I saw the price, however I shrugged and decided that I didn't need a $130 battery that lit up and blew smoke.
Days later, while doing some Christmas shopping in the same mall, I stumbled into a "New Age" store, and lo- amongst the Huka (Hukas? Hukai?) I spotted more of this fabled glowing smoking battery goodness. It was half the price that the cart was charging. I struck up a conversation with the shop keep, and he suggested that I snag a $15 disposable to play with. $15 gadget - now that's more like it. He said that he would give me $5 off any of the full sets if I brought the disposable back... Bonus...
I walked around puffing on this thing, not caring about how it tasted, or any of that. I was just enjoying the gadget factor. As the little ecig started to run dry I resized that I had cut way down on my rather substantial Redbull habit, and actually liked the way the nicotine felt better.
So I went back to the tattooed and pierced purveyor of all things hip and cool, and plopped my $60 on the counter. Charged it all up and away I went. The atomizer started to get cold after about 7 days of use, the cartridges tasted Meh, and I was interested in a better way. The nice man exchanged mine for free and under warrant, but I wanted spares.
The Google brought me here. I was searching for what the standard model number (or equivalent) for the SE Gold was. I know how the mall cart retail game works, and figured (rightly so) that more then one company sold product and parts. I found a deal on spare atomizers ( Totally Wicked 5 pack sale special). I also ordered the metal PCC for the 510 (if you take the plastic fake ash tip off of a 4081 it fits perfectly), and an additional starter kit.
I wound up trying (and sticking with) Tasty Vapors for my fluids. The price is fair and the apple pie (mmmmmmmm). I had also ordered tobacco / Menthol and Coffee / Chocolate.
Well the state of affairs today - I gave the Coffee flavor, a bunch of Tobac/Menth carts and a complete starter kit to my Brother in law as a gift. I tore apart a perfectly good SEGold for the atty connector and made a USB passthrough. I've got batteries and copper tubing laying about for my regulated 5v mod (in progress). I just placed an order for $120 with Tasty, have 3 people going in on it as they liked the flavors so much. Donated additional home filled carts to another friend who tried and didn't like the SE Gold factory filled taste...
I have some experience with electronics, Lithium batteries, and this sort of ilk, and hope that i can add value to the site.
