Hello all I am new to vaping and to forums so please bare with me as i learn everything that i can as fast as i can. I started vaping to be able to stop smoking about 2 weeks ago. After 1 week i put down my cigarettes completely. I started out with a istick basic and after one week i bought an IPV 5 box mod with a Smok TFV4. found out that i should have done a bit more research the TFV4 is designed to be used at higher wattage than a newby could handle. i have since bought 2 other tanks and am extremely happy to be cigarette free. The other tanks i bought are a Kangertech subtank mini and an Aspire Cleito. So as you can see I am one who goes from small to overkill really fast. I am on vape to stay because it did what I wanted it to do for me

I got started on less than you did. I vaped at 8 watts for months, 20 watts for more months and now it's 400 degrees temp control. That Basic should hold you for a while. There is a learning curve. Why hurry? Bring yourself along gently. Keep your money in your pocket and read and read and read some more.

learning curve for real I should have read a bunch more before making the big jump and stopped somewhere in a mid grade mod and tank setup but i saved money on mods just costly on the tank issue the smok TFV4 floods at lower wattage settings and i just could not hit it at the higher wattage that Smok says to run it at to keep it from flooding

After 14 months a brother of mine is still vaping the same gear. All he changed was 8 watts to 12 watts. I envy him.

Welcome.
Enjoy your stay and feel free to ask in the forums for help when its needed.
As far as "jumping" into things, take your time, theres no rush. Vaping moves as fast if not faster than most other industries, so find what works for you and stick with it. Use the money saved to get more juice or enjoy other activities. Stay off the stinkies and have a good day.
