Just a quick not to introduce myself and thank the community here for being so helpful and full of information.
I've been lurking for a little while and finally decided to join.
I've been a smoker on and off for about 40 years, with cycles of 3-5 years off and then on. After trying some of the tasty juices out there, I can't imagine going back to the "just licked the ashtray" taste of analogs. Picked up my first disposable a few weeks ago, smoked or threw away the last of my analogs, and I'm now sitting here today with a bunch of bottles of juices, a couple of Ego batteries and an expanding collection of cartomizers, clearomizers and tanks.
Thanks to the people and info from this site, I feel like I've made some farily good choices and am very happy with my vaping gear - so far - I'm assuming it's like recording where SGAS (Sudden Gear Acquisition Syndrome) can strike out of the blue.
Other than vaping, I have a few other hobbies - gigging occasionally on bass, playing guitar and drums for fun, recording bands and artists in my home studio (hey, I live in Nashville - it's a code requirement!); teaching basic & experienced motorcycle classes, riding motorcycles just about any style, just about any place - scooters around town, dirt bikes, street bikes, roadracing, drag racing (mainly to practice starts for roadracing); and I've been deeply interested and involved in electronics, doing component level repairs and modding.
So vaping is attractive for several reasons. It's NOT smoking tobacco. The social aspects are pretty cool, the few people I've met who also vape fall easily into conversations about the hobby, just like bikers. The techy side of it seems like it has a ton of possibilities.
So anyway, that's a little about me, and I hope to avoid all of the 'normal' noob questions.
