Hello,

Just wanted to poke my head in and say hi to everyone on the forums, this place looks like it contains a WEALTH of information to keep me busy for quite some time. I just started 'real' vaping yesterday when I picked up an eGo-C / Upgrade kit yesterday and I haven't been able to put it down. I am coming from analog cigarettes and so far, this has been a great substitute. I had tried all the trash ones such as Victory, njoy, etc. I figured all eCigs tasted like trash and gave up, then a couple years later, here I am -- I bought a Blu disposable on a whim and while it was garbage, it actually tasted pretty good. I had no idea eCigs could taste that good, so I decided to go to my local store and do it right and get a 'real' kit. The flavors from the few liquids I have already tried totally blows away the Blu I tasted, I had no idea that vaping could taste this good and be so fun.

I plan on hitting up the eGo-model forum as soon as I have the requisite posts and hope to share more information and learn with all of you there.

Would love to see if there are any other Alaskans on the forum as well. If you live in Anchorage and vape, you owe it to yourself to check out a new-(ish) shop that opened in town, Alaskan's Smokeless (Alaskan's Smokeless). I got my kit there and they have a wide selection of great liquids. This isn't intended to be an advertisement, we just didn't have any cool places in town like this 'till now so I am excited about it.

Also had a quick question as well -- I was looking at eGo batteries at fasttech (from a link I found on the forum) and their battery prices are outrageous (as in good)! I figure they're coming straight from China, but can anyone comment on their authenticity? Their batteries are priced almost too good and I'm worried that they're probably knockoffs. You usually get what you pay for it seems, when it comes to vaping.

Anyhow, I'm happy to be here!

WELCOME from RVA (Richmond, VA) :D!!! I will confirm it does carry a WEALTH (if I could make don't bigger on my iphone I would lol) of knowledge about vaping. I read posts on this forum constantly. I may not post unless it's something I know about or have encountered myself. I have been vaping for about 4 months now (that's cig free too btw!!!). Joined ECF not even a month ago, tops 2-3 weeks maybe. With the info that I have read so far I feel like I have been vaping for years! This is my go to place for q&a before I go to ANY B&M (brick and mortar = local shop)! I absolutely love it!! Plus it makes for awesome reading material when absolutely bored! :)

HAPPY VAPING!

Yup fasttech has good prices; good spot to look for cheap clones and try them out and if you like em order the real thing elsewhere; but personally, something like batteries... safety issue and warranty issues there; if you get get them locally in your area I'd seriously look more closely there; safety does have a price. Reading posts on this forum also suggests there might be problems with shipping internationally on batteries;

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone. Thanks for the heads-up about fasttech, I will look into their descriptions a bit better and see what's up. I don't mind waiting for the slow boat to China arrive since they'd just be backup batteries.

Oh almost forgot! IF yo want a few good backup batteries from fasttech check THESE out!

Ok so it's NOT a battery, but it's only like 5 bucks! and it don't need charging!

Hello and congrats on the switch! I would advise not to shop from fasttech since shipping is too dam slow and a chinese festival is coming up which will render the shutdown of all facilities in china to slow down production. Check out websites like 101vape for mods and RBA/RDA or vaperoyalty for cool customizeable ego's

Yeah! I would love to get something like this -- I am at the computer a lot and it would be great to not have to tax my batteries when I am stationary like that. Thanks for the reminder.
