Just saying Hi and giving a little back story of why I am here!

I officially quit smoking 2 weeks ago but I noticed that I was sneaking a cig here and there. I got talking to my friend and he started vaping on his Innokin SVD and he let me try it with a tester drip tip, I was surprised that I actually liked it and we got talking about it.

He told me that he was going to be selling vape starter kits and he is becoming a distributor for his Brothers E-juice company, he gave me a bottle of juice and sold me an Ego CE4 kit and the rest is history.

Here I am a week later and I've done a ton of research and reading, More importantly I haven't had a cigarette in the week I've been vaping. This CE4 is definitely a basic starter kit and after reading a lot on this forum I decided to go ahead and order an Innokin MVP 2.0 and a Kanger Protank 2 with extra coils. It will be here next week and needless to say I'm pretty excited to move up to a new better unit.

I am happy to be here and I'm sure I will be asking some questions but hopefully I can become a user that helps answer questions in the future.

Congratulations on quitting! Definetly stay away from the cigs lol. I quit once and then became hooked on both, it was another year before I quit smoking and it's been a year now. I used the protank 2 for a while, only issue I ever had was leakage to the battery if I didnt use it for a whole day, when that happens that juice gets in the small clearances and makes for a hard draw. I always ordered pre welded 1.8ohm wire to re-wrap coils, it was easier and way cheaper than ordering and carrying packs of coils for me plus you make them to your liking. I found using flavor wicks makes a harsh taste at high temps or hitting back to back (i think juice just kinda boils under there without airflow) I was able to wrap thicker to make up for lack of them and use cotton instead of silica for faster wicking, then I could run 15w or 6v just like my RDAs i use now.. just make sure you read into safety before trying any of this and check for shorts.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I am pretty excited to now get the MVP v2 and I'm glad it is a pretty popular Mod. I will need to go into the other sections of the forum to read about how to rebuild coils and wicks but to be safe I ordered a spare 5 pack of 2.5 ohm coils that I can just pop in and go.

I did a little bit of research and watched a few how-to videos on how to rebuild the coils using the Kanthal wire and sylica wicks I tried to take apart my CE4 and destroyed it, I was glad to have a buddy to call to get a spare clarimizer quick.

I need to check in to some different E-juice brands and or flavors, even tho my friend's brother is a Juice maker and he gives me awesome prices I still want to find certain flavors that he doesnt make (yet!) -- for anyone who might know I'm interested in finding a good Butterscotch or Caramel flavor

I will go ahead and name drop my Buddies company and who knows maybe some of you have used or at least heard of Pitbull Vape Juice,
If not here is a link to his site if nothing else it might be a flovor or two that you might want to try!

Well I went up my local vape shop to check out some things, while I was there I got talking to a few people and ended up walking out a Dripper... well maybe not a full blown dripper but one of the guys shared with me some knowledge and i picked up a dripper head. He showed me how to build a coil and put in a cotton wick. I only had my bottle of 18mg juice with me and we used that and little did I know you werent really supposed to use juice above 6mg in a dripper just due to the hit you get.

Anyway I bought the head and the guy ended up drilling a hole in the side of it to "get more air" and well lets just say I choke every time I draw on it, Im not sure this Dripping thing is for me since I'm just starting out but I do like how much vapor im getting.

I'm pretty sure we used 28awg kanthal wire with 7 wraps once put on a ohm tester it read 1.17 ohms and then we heated it and made it into a "micro coil" and it went up to 1.19 ohms which he said was normal. ive been messing with it for awhile here at home and the only thing I dont like is the hole in it because its giving me to much of a loose draw. Im gonna go back tomorrow and see if he will exchange it since he put the hole in it...

I'm still looking forward to just a regular Protank 2 but hey atleast I have the knowledge for dripping incase I decide to go to that eventually.

figured I would share my nights experience with everyone. If anyone cares to comment on it great... I thought it was kinda cool to be a cloud puffer for a few good hits

yea those ce4 are hard to rebuild, I did it once and never again lol, the evod and protank coils arent that hard though. The dripper is cool because its consistent, usually does what its supposed without surprises like leaking, you get a amazing hit every time and its simple to build single or dual coil. The draw back is that you have to drip every so often.. but i like it.. kinda reminds me of pulling out my pack or my lighter but with enough cotton placed in my igo-w or helios I can get a good hour of normal operation though, sometimes several when I'm working. They have genesis style ones that hold a lot but I'm not a fan because how large they are and sometimes they leak bad if you lay them down, like a whole tank of juice gone, but maybe I'm not doing it right.

Hi Nice_Ash. Welcome to the forum.

I see we live not too far from each other. There is a vape shop in Ellicott City called Kahuna vapor. I have bought juice from there. I was just looking at their juice menu online today, and happened to notice they sell a butterscotch flavored juice. You might want to check them out.

Congrats on giving up the stinkies. My quit date was just under a month ago.
