What would you suggest a newbie look into before purchasing?
asking what suit U,yr lifestyle..so many types to choose from,but since U want to buy a new model & reliable e-cig..i started with 510T(from totally wicked)..only battery life needs charging every 3-4 hrs(i vape moderately)..my avatar shows U the model i got..but i bought extras from heaven-gifts for my spares(batteries/passthrough e-liquids & cartomizer etc etc)

What is the difference between the e-liquid filled e-cig and the normal cartridge filled e-cig?

e-liquids come in many favours from fruits to tobacco fav juices..if U used pre-filled cartridge it still come with many favs,but limited choice also an expensive way to buy in this format

look into "malaysian forum" when U can post,ask any question encountered by us,asian..i.e buying online from suppliers in China and custom we might encounter..e-cig is the right move for smoker!..hope U can start to vape as soon as possible..i am now happily vaping for 2 months..and my health is much better as time goes by..regards mafig

Thanks for the supplier nods, I will definitely look into them. The only problem I've had looking so far is that the websites don't look all that professional, which leave me feeling a bit cautious.

I've posted in the Malaysian forum, we'll see how it goes over there.

Wow Brunie...I kind of quit by accident ! I bought my first kit on a whim ! decided it just tasted better and didn't go buy another carton !! This is after 40+ years of "I enjoy smoking, leave me alone " !!!! My last cig was 3/19/10 !!!

+ 10 on what Sarge said...and the flavors are so helpful !

I certainly it'll be the same with me, cigarettes are becoming quite scarce over here so its a good time to try!

Hehehe... I'm thinking of going down one of two routes, the e-cig as a cigarette alternative (cheaper, cleaner, cooler) or as a pocket shisha type thing (look at the soooo many flavours) in the box type vapes I've seen - as I assume they can hold more and last longer?

I'd just like to say thanks again to everyone for their kind words and advice. I've spoken to people 'on the street' and as its not specifically listed as illegal its fair game - I should just bring a copy of the appropriate law to state my case, just in case.

I'm now going to meticulously look through the links provided and hopefully make a wise and informed decision on my first... evAR... E-CIG! (WOOOO!!!)

Final Update: Looks like they are banned here. Under the Ministry of Health (not exactly sure of what Act) but they say no.

I'm too scared to go and pick it up for fear of them charging me. If I had more courage I might try to fight my case in front of the post office when they ask me to open it but I don't.

Sorry to hear about your luck. I've heard Singapore and Saudi Arabia can be particularly tough for would-be vapers. You might still be able to get good advice from various members in the Malaysia forum who also suffer some unfair restrictions. You might also like to talk to a few members in the SG Vapers Group.

You might be better off ordering a mod instead of a kit that looks like a cigarette. Can't imagine you would have issues with a "battery box" and batteries. The juice might be trickier.
