Hi everyone, 1st post for me after reading this site for a few days now. I'm a long time smoker (over 35 years), been on cigars since '95. I smoke all day and night and quite frankly I'm tired of being tired. Just recently I've noticed how out of breath I get at the slightest exertion, so I'm hopeful that I may have found the solution!

After much research and looking at positive reviews of the Greencig G120 e-cigar, I ordered one from LeCig but they were backordered so I won't get it will next week. I also talked to Mike at LeCig who recommended the PigCig as well. I don't know whether to wait and see if the G120 is all I need, or to go ahead and get the PigCig also so I have the option of different flavors and nic levels. Being a heavy smoker, I think I'm going to be vaping all the time!

I bought a disposable No. 7 e-cig to try at first which peaked my interest and gave me hope, it also brought me here to learn everything I can before pissing away alot of money learning the hard way. Thanks to everyone here, I know that I won't be doing that.

I can't wait to get my G120! I would appreciate all comments and suggestions as to the 2nd unit, should I get the PigCig or a Joye 510, or something else?

Thanks, I look forward to learning from all of you.

Rob

Hi cigarman. If you smoke all day and night then the 510 will probably not meet your needs. The battery is so small that it needs recharging every 1-3 hours. Not familiar with the pigcig (although I like the name), is it similar to the eGo? That would be better but you might like a box mod more as the battery life can take you through a day with all day vaping. Welcome to the forum and keep the questions coming. :)

Hi Cigar/Rob. I can't recommend anything more than what's already been recommended (I use 510s, kr808d-1s, and eGo tanks). But I spotted that you are from St. Pete so I'm here to recruit you for the local vapers club, Suncoast Vapers, lol. Click on my link to see info about a HUGE meet in June.

Best wishes on your new HOBBY (and it will become one).

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I have done enough research now I think (2 days) and I hope I'm making a good decision here; Since LeCig doesn't have the PigCig in stock, I found GatorVapor's GV510 Ego in either the 650 or 1100 mAh with 510 atomizers and a pack of carto's so I can see the difference. I don't want to be refilling every hour or so if I can avoid it. I'm hoping for a one fill, smoke all day deal, but since I'm such a heavy smoker I imagine I'll be huffing on it alot. If anyone thinks this is a bad move, please let me know before I go pick it up tomorrow! I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to being tobacco free and that is my intention.

That's a common desire but, what you've ordered isn't going to go all day without filling or switching something. Also when you are starting out it's not necessarily a good idea to go with something that can. The problem is that you don't know what you like to vape all day yet. For an all day no trouble at all vape there are really only a couple choices.

The go-go. Some people are down right fanatical about this thing. So, it's probably pretty good. However, it uses a proprietary giant cartomizer and nothing else. You're stuck vaping whatever you put in there all day whether you like it or not.

A bottom feeding box mod. For a dedicated vaper, these are the ultimate especially in VV. However, they are expensive, availability is limited, you have to know how to use them, and to the untrained eye they look really strange.

Using cartridges and an atomizer probably isn't going to be for you. They are leaky and have to be filled pretty often. Cartomizers are less trouble but, you'll need to either top it off or switch it out every 2 to 3 hours. So, what you might do is fill three or four in the evening and switch them during the day. Right now, your best bet is to get a decent kit and establish what nic level and juice flavor work for you. Then start looking to enhance the experience. You'll have a better idea what it'll take to do that then as well.

No matter what, this is new technology. It's not perfected. Smoking is going to be less work.

This is the kind of helpful information I was looking for! I'm hoping the Super Ego 1100mAh will fit my needs in the beginning, I'll get several juices and cartos, fill them with different flavors and check them out! Is there a way to label them temporarily I wonder? Thanks for the input.

No, you don't have to join anywhere. Just keep an eye out in the Florida subgroup for the details on the May meet (info hasn't been posted yet but we're hoping to have it at the hotel where Vapestock is being held...a dry run). For Vapestock, yes, please do a rsvp to the official Vapestock webpage (you can get to the url from the Updates on Vapestock thread; see the link in my signature).

So I got my GatorVapor Ego 1100 kit and a 510 battery so I can have a little smoker/sampler unit.
I've been playing with flavors using the little carts, but I filled a cartO with cigar flavor without thinking about it. I don't like that flavor at all, so how do I clean it out and refill with another flavor? So far I love the mango and pineapple and I like the tobacco prefilled cartos. I have yet to try blueberry and Marb light.

I'm enjoying this!

You might want to use an atomizer with a drip tip to sample juices before you fill a carto. :) I tried this and it seemed to work but, let me say these are for a cartomizer not for a cartridge and atomizer. Take any rubber tips off and boil it for about 15 minutes. Then you can put it in an oven battery side down for about 45 minutes. Make sure it's dry.

It's more efficient to do several at once. Those cartomizers get kind of nasty tasting after a few days. Save them up and boil them all together. If you are doing a bunch, it's better to boil, rinse, change out the water and boil again.

Hey Mickey, thanks for that info. What temp would you set the oven to? I am getting a sorta nasty taste in my mouth from all of the new carts and cartos using different flavors. Is this the nature of vaping? Or perhaps the mixture of all the built up gunk from years of smoking cigars... I'm hoping it will go away soon so I can enjoy the flavors as their meant to be.

Oven temp as low as it'll go for about 45 mins. I wouldn't do this with new cartos.
