Hello from interested noob

HI everyone. Just heard about these e-cig thingies from a radio ad. Googled and walaaa.
Been smoking for last 30 some yrs and Michigan is about to go smoke free in public places, accept for the casinos of course.?
Anyway, I'm a Camel 99 Ultra Light 100 abuser (pack/day).

I must say, I've been reading here for a while and think i have come full circle back to "clueless"...lol
Wow, so much info and combination's of numerous variables. Much different than my 30 yrs old "Gimme a pack of camels please".

Just wanted to intro and say hello and good luck to all the other noobs.

I remain e-cig hopeful and continue trudging through all the info on here, for that i am thankful for.

I know from reading, I just need to "pick one" and start in and go from there. However, if anyone else was on the same analogs i am and have found an equal, I would apreciate hearing from you!

Welcome Aboard! Grab yourself a hot or cold beverage of your choice and read, read and read some more. As you said there is so much information and a lot to learn, but you'll then be able to make a well-informed decision about what to buy.

I started out with a KR808D-1 2-piece model from SmokeTip.com (starter kit) and quit smoking instantly (after 36+ years) with it. After much reading here at ECF a week later I ordered my Joye 510 starter kit from Cignot.com and still use it more than 5 months later.

So ask all the questions you need to but you'll find all your answers throughout these forums.

Welcome and ditto about reading......
For me a 1 & 1/2 a day pack, more if out on the town....I bought an Ego due to the longer battery life and better production of vapor....But, it is almost twice the cost as a 510 Joy, that my wife has....Good Luck....and Welcome...

From what little experience I have, I can tell you that the vapor from ecigs taste nothing like the smoke from an analog. (cigarette)

What you taste from a real cigarette is the burning taste, with an ecig there is no burning tobacco taste but there are some great flavors, and that along with a good ecig will give you the throat hit that you've become accustomed too with the analogs.

There is a ton of great information here, read through and it will help you to make a decision as to what will work for your needs.

Welcom to the ecf. Read and ask qustions , poeple on these forums really know what there talking about. I started with a volcano, it was nice but it did not kill my cravings so i stepped up to a 510 and its so much better . Good luck and again welcome.

Ah, the volcano...that was my third in an endless series of e-cigs in my quest to find perfection.



If I had to do things differently and just have a few things:

1. Kr808 from Vapor4Life
2. The Janty Ego. Just for something different. I like the look, the battery life and the ability to drip and try new things.
3. Iken's Lazer. It is ALWAYS on my keychain. If you lose batteries and stuff like I do, it's a must own.
4. The Bartleby. Just because it's cool and it works. A tiny box mod that also acts as a USB passthru.

You came to the right place, for sure. It's only been a couple months for me and this place has been amazing. I would have bought a crappy Blu had it not been for these guys.

I love the Volcano... their customer service is amazing, and they are big into helping people be completely satisfied. I think it's perfect for a newbie. They have great starter kits with instructions, and their own forum for tips and tricks. Their cartridges are meh in terms of vaping power, but with your own juice... its a wonderful gadget. It feels like a regular cigarette in size and hit, only you can get black to avoid dirty glares when you use it. If you want to know more about Volcano, PM me and I'd be happy to give you the rundown on my experience with them

Congrats on looking and working on it from a fellow noob. I went with the 510 and love it. It is a little weak in the morning for my taste so I just ordered a Silver Bullet & think I will be set. Please remember that the flavors are TOTALLY different from smoking. I don't think there is a solid consensus for a flavor that tastes like smoking. It's wired at first, but you will quickly adjust to getting a nic fix without the normal flavors you are used to.

Hi all I'm new to the forum, just wondering a few thing I have tried 2 different e-cig and got the same from them both I have not smoke in over 3 years but still miss the after coffee smoke I smoke the light real cig I have got the 8 mg and they have both made my chest fill like it did when I smoke real cigarette, So I sent them both back thinking maybe this is ot good for me but looking on the internet and found this forum so I thought I would ask to see. I really enjoy the e-cig but was just thinking it may not be good for me if it is making my chest fell like it did when I smoke or maybe is was suppose to do that cause I have not had a real cigarette in that lenght of time..tyia I hope someone out there make since of what I'm saying.

Well I am fairly new here also, found this forum after I had ordered a Blu starter kit. All in all the Blu isnt too bad other then the consistency of their cartridges. Also ordered some carts from Volcano, they seem to be a small bit better. But yesterday I took the leap and ordered a Joyce 501 and some liquid plus some accessories from Vapor Kings. Hopefully I will be much more please with that setup. I had read that Vapor Kings was a good place to shop!!! Hope it's true!!

Hi I'm new here, I have a few questions I would like to ask.1) I have stop smoking 3 yrs ago, I bought 2 different e-cig and both done the same to me I always enjoy smoking with coffee. when I smoke the (8mg just the same as my other real cig) What I need to know when I tried 2 different e-cig (different types) My chest felt like it did when I did the reals cig, I didn't know if was suppose to do that since I have not smoke cig for the last 3 yrs. I hope someone knows what I'm talking bout . I just sent the other e-cig back 3 days ago.... so just trying to see if there was anyone that stop smoking and gave these a try cause they misses the smoking with either drinking or what ever they got them to smoke again with out the smell..tyia

The ones I returns love them the best, the filters came with the flover already in them.........

Well I did it, 510 Stater kit on its way from Cignot. Anxious to quit analogs, hope this works!
