The thing that is bothering me now, especially since joining this forum, is the threat of taxing and restricting vaping out of existance. I am an avid firearm guy and am already tired of fighting firearm restrictions and now I learn that vaping is under fire. When will it end?

Maybe when and if we can get the clowns out of the government offices. All they want to do is pick our pockets for their own good and claim its for the good of the people.

I just look at the Weather Channel's week long forecast and count how many days the high hits above freezing. Getting three days a week now instead of one or two (or none). Spring might really be in June but it IS coming! (G)

By now our averages should be in the 40's. I never remember a winter with so much cold and snow at the same time.

Welcome to ECF C-D! (can't get myself to say it either, lol) I really need to check in the new members section more, I just now saw this thread. I'm in the North Oakland/South Genesee area, it's nice to see so many from the same general area! :)

I saw an ad for a new shop that had it's grand opening in Fenton, but have yet to go check it out. It's called Vaporia. I will report back once I get a chance to visit it, I'm hoping it's not another one like Wild Bills.

There is a section here for Michigan Vapers I hope everyone will post there if you haven't already, it is usually very slow.

I'm more of a lurker, but I am so happy to see so many here from Michigan, I had to stop and say hi! :)

I'd considered suggesting this before... but we have a good banter going here, and I also missed this thread for awhile past noticing the Michigan subforum. What say we get a discussion thread started in there? I bet more people would see it that way?

I'm just a young'n on here, but what about you vets? Do you guys agree?

Looks like 14300 Fenton Rd. Same address for a resale shop. I can presume it has replaced it. Will check it out.

Thanks for link to the Michigan sub!

I just posted some information about a new store, Vape Select, I had run into over in Garden City (32437 Ford Rd).

Not many here on the westside of Detroit just yet.

Summary: excellent hardware prices, 3 lines of juices including one made in Gaylord(!), growing selection of hardware, and a good place for newbies to to start out at.

Young man named Mikey is the tech-knowledge behind the operation and he's very good.

(Better than Wild Bills ;))

I'll add the Michigan sub to my rounds here at ECF and see if we can't drive some activity that way too...

Thanks you for the update. Unless it is the economy being so poor in Michigan I can't understand the lack of Vape shops. California seems to be loaded with them. The ironic thing is vaping saves so much money. For those same economic woes one would think it would be taking off. I see another member of "No Wild Bills Club".

Actually... I got my ego-type starter kit from Wild Bills - 2 650 mah bats, 2 disposable clearos & the charger / wall plug, for $45.

In hindsight, that's a pretty reasonable price-point for this type of hardware.

The guys in Livonia were very knowledgeable, and were clearly gearing up (product & knowledge wise) to be able to not only transition people from tobacco to vaping, but support them afterwards.

This store lost me with a very bad customer service decision on Black Friday and requiring a coupon.

On the other hand, the guys down in Westland are the stars of customer service(!!), but not quite as knowledgeable on the hardware.

So... in a pinch, I'll use Wild Bills

In contrast, the 2 smoke shops I used to frequent are clueless. They both carry packaged hardware - know nothing, and charge full suggested retail (Pufft, Lava, Tsunami juices).

It's those type of stores that will simply disappear as the market evolves.

I agree that Wild Bill's is filling a gap. If they were shrewd they would open separate vape shops. They are a big corporation so I'm sure the wheels turn slowly.

Economy aside, 'fads' and new things hit Michigan late. Always have. We'll catch up soon!

Mr. Vapor is their shop, and I know they've got at least two Mi locations in the works, but I wish their wheels turned faster!
