Hiyas, CopperLeaf here. New to the forum and vaping. I've been a 1/2 to a pack a day smoker for about 30 years and tried loadsa ways to quit with no luck. So I decided to give vaping a go. Yesterday I went and bought an AnyVape Davide at around noon and have had 1 cigarette since. I didn't like it and put it out halfway through, good sign right?
I bought a few different flavours of juice to try and am already contemplating customizing the ones I like. I'll probably even start pairing flavours with the meals and drinks I have. I'll definitely need a stronger throat hit and and a tad higher nic level when I have a few drinks (it's when I smoked the most).
I really hope the government doesn't take this away because I think vaping will help me quit for good. Hopefully I can get my wife on board too.
Cheers to smoke free life

Hi CopperLeaf. This is my first post on ECF as well, but I just wanted to say congratulations for your initial stages of quitting smoking! To me it is a great sign that you put out your first cigarette post-vaping out halfway through. From what I've been reading on the forum, it seems that MANY people have had much success in switching from smoking after essentially the first vape, and I hope that this is the case for you. I also hope that your wife might get on board, and totally concur with the advice of one of the other posters that, if you can find a juice that is right up her alley, then you might have a very strong chance of converting her. I've only been vaping consistently for 2 weeks (a Halo G6), and am really enjoying it, particularly after finding a great flavor for me (Halo's Tribecca - their best-selling and "flagship" juice - which, to me, tastes a bit like caramel corn mixed with a mild tobacco). Also, I am personally a fan of slimmer, sleeker "cig-alikes" - as opposed to huge light sabres (hence the G6) - and have read some threads stating that some peoples' wives were reluctant to switch to vaping because of some large units being so much bigger, and unlike, cigarettes. So maybe you can buy her a cig-alike starter kit, and a juice sample pack - to see what she thinks? I was very impressed with the price of the G6 starter kit (I think it was around $45), and would highly recommend it, as the quality of the mechs and juice (as well as the awesome packaging) is great for the value. Well, best of luck!
