Hello from SA and Nuppin V2 question

Hello from sunny Pretoria, South Africa. Been lurking here for ages and finally have something to ask, so it'll have to be here due to my stellar number of postings

I've been hooked on my Nuppin V1 since the day I got it and now looking to get more. Enter the new upcoming flangeless Nuppin V2....With the flange now gone, what's stopping the cap being pushed right onto the mod? Wouldn't this contact cause wear on the finish of a mod as one repeatedly snaps on the cap, possibly do some final positioning and adjusting the AFC, resulting in a ring being bored onto the surface? The flange on the V1 prevented this kind of damage so is this something one would just have to accept with the V2?

Actually the flange does stop liquid from leaking onto your device, as long as the top cap is on there. I have never had liquid come off mine when I take off the top cap, but some others have.

***As to the non-flanged base being a game changer, who knows. This change only came about because of people using an o-ring under their atty and didn't like the aesthetics with a gap between the base and the top of the device. This way the top cap will slide all the way down and cover any gap that had occurred... Keeping that in mind, there will be a ledge, so to speak, that will keep the top cap from coming down far enough to hit the center post and create a short... It is being machined into the side wall of the top cap.

so the ledge is only a safety measure for shorts, and based on the info above there will be a gap so the cap can be pushed passed the base onto the mod to hide any oring issues. So "ring-sting" is imminent. Mmmm...Going to need to chew on this one a bit.
