Hey guys,

Been readin around this site and reddit and just started vaping almost 2 weeks ago and will never go back to analogues! Music, movies, gaming, and computer repair are my hobbies before this.

I have a question about how YOU guys use nicotine levels in eliquids. I want to work my way down off the nicotine but I was wondering if anyone smokes 0 nicotine e liquids and if its any different?

Try a little DIY for 0 nic. Nothing wrong with it if you can do it. Personally, I'm satisfied to have eliminated 99% or more of the health risks I subjected myself to for the last 40 years. I've also never heard any credible evidence that nicotine is any riskier than caffeine. OTOH, there are studies that indicate it may be helpful in preventing or treating dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Looking at it that way, at my age, maybe I should increase my nicotine level!!

Hi H4ilthetheif and welcome to ECF. I try to Vape lower Nic in the evening, including 0. Yes, there is less throat hit. This is a good place to visit if/when you are thinking of lowering Nic level to 0 and/or quitting Vaping.

Welcome and good luck. I have been exclusively vaping for about 4 months now. I started at 24mg heavily chain vaping. I have worked my way down to mostly 0 and every now and then I will hit some 6 or 8 for a while. People always say how you lose TH when you remove the nic, but they fail to mention that once you are ready, and have the proper knowledge you can upgrade to higher voltages and wattages which will increase the temperature of the vape. IMHO, this helps replace the TH. I have never been big on TH. To me taste and good vape tell my mind all its need to be satisfied.
Make sure before you or any vaper you know, who may be ready to move into the world of APVs/MODs, gets the proper education about the varibles involved in going about it safely. It can be very rewarding when done properly and safely. Direct dripping on a high voltage (HV) PV, is a whole different (much better) experience.
Good luck and dont be shy about asking questions.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, I hope to be at 0 one day for all day to try and avoid any health risks with the nicotine itself but vaping is a start!

Have fun finding what is just right for you, and as Sailorman said, some nicotine is not a bad thing especially as we age :) bnrk

I think that its GREAT that each of you have lowered your nic levels! Proud of all of you!

I started e-cigs a year ago at higher nic levels, and went back to real cigs. I'm back on the wagon and ask myself why I ever went back. I'm staying at 12mg but feel that lowering my levels is far away. Point is - keep on trying, keep at it and don't give up on yourself. Iv'e found ECF to be a great support group; even if just reading the posts from others. I look at this as a way to get off it 100% and not turn it into another costly hobbie, but that's hard too with all the tasty juice and fancy PVs. Stay stong to you all!
