I was thinking about what people had said, and I had a couple of old tips, so I tried them all compared to a new one and I think it is that it's just ran out. One of the used ones also tasted metallic but two of them didn't, so I'm guessing I've just vaped it dry! So thanks for the help!

With regards to cost, I was smoking around 30 a week which was costing about £13.. The pack of 5 tips is £9 and they last me about 2 weeks.. I know there are cheaper methods, but after trying out the disposables this felt like a good next step and it just works for me. And I am still saving :)

That is good. I am really pleased for you. I was concerned you might have been a regular smoker; and a lot of them struggle to quit tobacco with these sorts of mini look-a-like e-cigs.

I have a pair of Joyetech 510 batteries which I use in more "social" situations for not drawing attention to myself. If you should ever decide to move on up to a pair of these and use high quality cartomisers for £6 a pack (5) and fill them with your own choice of e-liquid (and get multiple refills...could go on for weeks just refilling :) ) you'll know where to ask.

I have to say you are the first person I have come across making real sense with these products, so well done to you and congratulations on quitting the smokes :) . Just beware all the battery buying in the future. My Joye's are 7 months old now and still fire up like brand new batteries every time. Beautiful. I use them with Boge cartomisers and gourmet Grizwald (VapeEscape) e-liquid.

I wish I could have said the same about E-Lites. I spent £100s on them, none of the stuff works anymore and yet E-Lites with their £3.99 refills are selling faster than hot cakes at a cake sale. At least yours are only £1.80. That's quite a difference (over months or years)....so please tell people.

:)

You're from Wakey and it's sunny?! Contradiction in terms, innit?! I'm from Leeds when I'm not being a student in Kent!x

It was... For a few hours yesterday, lol!

djsvapour, I got on the e-cig wagon after a few of my friends introduced them to me, they all suggested I tried out the look-a-likes first to see how it went, which is what they did. One of them also told me to steer clear of E-Lites, saying they're over priced and not great. The vapourlites provide a good kick when you haven't used them in a while, and as I said before it's totally kicked the smoking habit, so I'm not complaining :) my aim it to cut out the e-cigs at some point, and be done with it all.. But as we all know that's easier said than done!

PG and VG are humectants...
A humectant is a substance used primarily in foods and cosmetic products to help retain moisture. These substances are called hygroscopic, which means that they are able to absorb ambient water. These hygroscopic compounds posses a chemical structure that attracts water from the atmosphere and binds it to various sites along the molecule.

When we inhale PG/ VG it "traps" the moisture in our mouth, throat and nasal area and thus the vapor. The real problem arises when the body is dehydrated and begins "stealing" moisture from other parts of the body to keep key organs hydrated. Add to that more than 3 cups of java or caffeine based soda drinks and severe dehydration can occur.
Ask any chemist and they will tell you the same. I drink 2+ liters of water per day and no more than 3 cups Java per day.

As for vapors tongue PG coats the tongue. I gargle daily with fresh lemon and water. Also try sucking on a sour candy to get the saliva glands active.

One of the many reasons I don't vape PG.

Hi jotterby, I use Vapourlites 16mg as well, and really enjoy vaping them. As you say the cost is not high, so Im not bothered about looking for cheaper alternatives. I used to smoke a similar amount to you, but vape quite a bit more now, probably just because I can :). I have not had a real cig since Feb 15th 2013 (after smoking for 38 years) so Im really pleased. Keep it up mate!!
