Just wanted to say hello to all here! I'm glad to have found this site -- I started back into vaping a couple of months ago, trying to get off analogs for good.

My setup is a Kangertech subox Mini. I'm amazed at how far vaping has come. Years ago, I did the cig-a-likes....then went to a pen-type with the atomizer. Then, dangit, went back to cigs. A friend with a mod let me try it, and I knew this was the way I wanted to go! So along those lines, I picked up a Kangertech Subox Mini....started with Mouth-To-Lung, now doing direct with a subohm coil.

I'm looking forward to learning a lot here, and hopefully helping out when I can.

Cheers,

John aka JD

Well thank you all for the friendly welcome, I really appreciate it. I've been reading over the forums and have learned lots, and hope to learn more.

@BrotherBob thank you for those links -- I also noticed your CASAA avatar....I joined there yesterday. I'm quite concerned about the FDA involvement regarding vaping and am looking for ways to be active in that regard.

My sub-ohm vaping up until now has been with .5 ohm manufactured coils and between 18-25 watts. Although tonight I wicked the .5 ohm coil that was already on the RBA deck that came with my outfit...and WOW what a difference! So I think I will be heading down the build-my-own-coils road. Which is just great since I've ordered a bunch of manufactured coils for my vape. Oh well, they'll be good to have on hand.

Thanks again everyone for the welcome. :)

Yeah...non-factory coils have that effect. It's pretty amazing how different the flavor can be. Eventually, you might end up like me with more tanks than fingers, and be rebuilding for all of them. Right now, my favorite tank is the Griffin 25. after you build your first coil, you're probably going to be like "that's it? That was all I had to do? Why didn't I do this earlier?"

FDA involvement -- No laws should be made frivolously and based on lies/half truths.

So I think I will be heading down the build-my-own-coils road -- Might save you $ and improve your vape experience.
