Hello All,
Newbie here. Just switched from Blu's and smoking to an Evic Supreme with a nautilus Aspire. Looking for a nice community of like minded folks. Haven't had a cig in 4 weeks (since I got my "real" vaporizer). I have since ordered another eVic Supreme and 5 nautilus Aspires. Have a subscription to Zodist for the minimum and am smoking about 5ml of 12mg juice daily. I looked up the equivalent and it seems I'm smoking the equivalent of 2.5 packs of Marlboro Reds daily. Is this right? Like I said I'm a newb, so I don't know. I'm thinking of downgrading to 6mg/ml and seeing how that goes. Am I off base on my calculations or am I correct in assuming that is my intake?
Thanks,
will

Welcome to ECF! I have to admit, I looked at this thread primarily to figure out what this mysterious 'noke is, and now I know :)

As far as vapor-to-cigarette comparisons, I would say you're certainly NOT vaping the equivalent of 50 Marb Reds' worth of tar and carcinogens, that's for sure. In my opinion, that's all that matters. As far as converting nicotine in eliquid to nicotine in cigarettes, nobody really knows for sure. To the best of my knowledge, you can halve that figure, 60mg of nicotine, right away, as a pretty good upper bound. That immediately bumps you down to a (likely) maximum of 1.25 packs', or 25 cigs', worth of nicotine.

But, again, "amount of nicotine processed from eliquid vs. cigarettes" is really a tough comparison to make. There's currently a pretty hot thread, http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...t-you-still-hooked-nicotine.html#post13894792 here in the New Members forum where this has been actively debated, lately. Basically, research has shown that ecig users are pretty good at "self-titrating", which means they vape more if they're craving nic, and vape less if they're getting plenty of nic. For my first few smoke-free months, you'd better believe I'll vape as much as necessary to keep it that way. You'll know when you've had too much, trust me!

By all means, experiment with 6mg if you'd like to see if it works just as well for you. But I'd keep some stronger stuff on hand, in case that doesn't do the trick.

Thanks for the advice and link! I feel better knowing I'm not pounding 2.5 packs of cowboy killers a day. The 'noke isn't notable in any way except we have a giant star they light up on a mountain overlooking the valley. I come to OH fairly frequently to visit a friend in Blacklick right outside of Columbus. Anyhoo, thanks for the good info and link,
