Welcome. :)

Sounds a good upgrade to me. It's such a shame the new UK vapers have to put up with these tiny tanks. I am still using 3-5ml tanks and will order more from China should I ever need to.

Sadly, the TPD is bonkers.... since when does limiting tank size protect anybody...? Actually, carrying around bottles of e-liquid is more risky i.m.o. I fill my tank(s) and leave home for the day.

Anyway... Vaporesso are a good make. How are the prices on the coils? I often use a Smok tank but with Vapesoon coils. Not being tied into one make of coils allows me to save some cash.

I bet fasttech do coils for Vaporesso. If you order packs of 3 at a time, you will avoid import tax and save quite a bit over a year on the UK price.

Ordering from China is legal. Spending more than £15 is more risky than it used to be. I split all orders nowadays after getting a nasty shock from UK border/imports.

Yesterday, I ordered a new POD system. The pod kit was £13... that's one order - and 2 packs of coils were about £11... that's another order.

Edit. Vaporesso GT coils are about £5.50 on Fasttech, £10 in the UK.

Please tell me your shop doesn't charge more than £10.... PLEASE...

Good luck. :)

Welcome!

I have several Vaporesso mods including the Swag. It’s a great small easy to use device. I usually use RDAs on it but for out and about I use the NRG tank that was made for the Swag. The Power/Wattage mode works great. It’s not great at TC esp compared to other Vaporesso’s that use an updated Omni chip such as the Revenger series, Polar etc... It can be used but you’ll definitely feel the device throttling the temp down.

The GT coils are the only coils I’ll use for sub ohm tanks. Huge variety including ceramics across a wide wattage range. There even have mesh coils now. They get good life even with coil gunking vape juice and the price is fair imo. Fasttech does sell them and occasionally I’ll buy some in bulk for a discount.

My personal favorite coils are the GT cCell .4 it gives great flavor, clouds, life and doesn’t suck down the juice like some others do (ie GT 8)And the GT 4. I usually vape at around 35-45 watts.

I’ve included a chart of the GT coils from the Vaporesso website. It doesn’t show the 2 new mesh coils and a new ceramic .3 ohm coil.

Hope you enjoy it!!

I agree with @Fidola13 - Swag is a great little single battery mod…built like a tank. The GT Core coils are modeled after the Smok TFV8 Baby style coil so you will find many different manufactures that make a compatible coil. But personally I’d stick with the GT Core.

@Fidola13 – Not sure if the new QF coils will fit the existing NRG and Cascade Baby tanks. They are much wider than the GT Core coils. Couple of screen grabs from Zophie Vapes to show the difference. Guess once they hit the market we’ll know for sure.

@djsvapour, did they hit you with duty, VAT, or did they confiscate your stuff?

I was just on the Vaporesso website looking at the Luxe mod with the new Skrrrrr tank that comes with the new coils. It mentions that all the GT coils fit it so I’m wondering if those new coils are compatible with the cascade baby SE as well the NRG tanks as well. My go- to drop in coil tank for larger mods is the Cascade baby se or the cascade original tank.

OP you’re probably better off sticking with the GT coils than using the Smok coils. I’m always reading posts on different forums about “bad” Smok coils. Just my 2 cents tho.

The Skrr will accept the GT coils, same threading and height. But not sure if the QF coils will fit the NRG and Cascade Baby. With both tanks the GT coil is recessed within the base and there is not a lot of room to expand. You can see the difference in width of the 2 coils with the below pic. Vaporesso’s site only states that the Skrr is GT compatible, not that the NRG is QF compatible. The QF coil defiantly will not fit the Cascade (non Baby) GT Adaptor. I also own a NRG, NRG Baby SE and a Cascade Baby tank (Also own a Smok Prince Baby Cobra TFV8x12=96 Beast what ever the hell they are called that is also compatible with the GT coils!)

Oh yeah I see what you mean about the base size. Ok good that I’m perfectly happy with the GT coils especially after trying the GTM coils that came with the original Cascade. They were horrible. Reminded me off Smoks I used. Difficult to Prime, Poor flavor, cotton too tight resulting in dry hits, etc... I was so disappointed but I knew I was going to be using the GTs anyways. Just wish I hadn’t bought several packages of them. I’ll be interested in hearing what people think about the new ones.

All these similar names are annoying lol! I mean seriously what’s up with Vaporesso and Smok!! Cascade. Cascade Baby. Cascade Baby SE. etc etc  !!

Don’t know why I didn’t think of this before. Assuming the picture above is to scale, I loaded the picture into a graphical editor, scaled to size based on the GT Coil (which I own and can confirm) then measured the difference. The GT coil is approx. 15.5mm at the base just above the threads. The QF coil is approx. 19.8mm. The NRG has a 16.5mm opening and the Cascade Baby has a 17.8mm opening. So if I am correct, the QF coil will definitely not fit.

Well.....they could be called Voopoo!! LOL!

Yes, they are cracking down. I got hit with £8 royal mail and £3.11 tax. Fasttech refunded me to my account in $. The UK border sent me a cheque for £3.11. I am up, but it's less easy now. That order was under £15.00 but the value on the front was wrong. I am only ordering under £15 unless I can afford to get done. On an expensive mod, it might be worth paying the tax upfront.
