Hello from Toronto!

Just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself a bit. I was a 12 year smoker until my girlfriend gave me an EVOD starter kit about a month ago and haven't had a real cigarette for over 3 & half weeks now :)

The first couple of days were a bit difficult and I cheated a few times. But over those days I cut back drastically until stopping completely.

I had tried to quit a couple of times, went cold turkey which lasted less than a week. Patches didn't do it and couldn't stand the gums. vaping has gotten me off of smoking real cigs and I'm quite enjoying vaping now. A couple colleagues & friends have or are starting to give vaping a try since they've seen me vaping.

I'm rocking a Vision Spinner II with ether an EVOD or AeroTank Mini & some 100% VG Blackwood Tobacco 12Mg Nic flavored juice from Canvape.

Hey Toronto! You are close to home. Congrats on quitting smoking. I have to agree, the vape flovours are way better than cigarettes. I was a 2 pk a day smoker for 40 years and cigs don't appeal to me at all after vaping. Just a couple of days after starting to vape, I thought I would cheat but the smoke tasted so bad I put it out and went back to the ecig. :)

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome :) glad to meet some other Canadian vapers. Any good places around the GTA anyone can recommend thats vape friendly?

And yea, after vaping for the past few weeks I can't really stand the smell of cigs any more & wondering why I ever started haha.

Can't remember how I stumbled across canvape, but I popped by their kiosk at downsview last weekend & spoke with one of the guys there for a good half hour to an hour. He suggested ordering from their site since they markup at the location to cover for overhead. So I did :) ordered a helios style RDA and spent last night doing my first build. Came out at an even 2.0ohm dual coil, it vapes nice, but I think the spinner battery might be holding it back a bit, time to get a mech mod maybe? haha I like tinkering & modding stuff so this could be a good hobby for me too

I find that the CN Tower sort of looks like a vape stick.
Haha! Now that I think of it, it does!

Haven't vaped on the subway platform yet, been worried they might get upset. I guess these technically don't violate no smoking bylaws do they? Been vaping in my office and no one seems to care, other than them putting up no smoking signs haha

Yup, the Spinner is going to be an issue that setup. You've got two 4 ohm coils in it that at 4.8V are putting out 5.75 watts each. IMO that's not going to be too great. I think it would be significantly better with a single 2.0 ohm coil which at 4.8V would put out the same 11.5 watts. The wire gauge you chose will make a difference too. Too thick and it will take forever to heat up. Playing around with the air flow will help you dial it in as best you can.

If you want almost unlimited power go with a mech mod, just do your homework on batteries and general safety. Also suggest you research the new high power regulated mods like with a DNA20 or 30 chip or their clones. The clones are pretty new still and I have no idea how good they'll turn out to be.

Have fun and vape on :thumb:
