Smoking 13 years. Alive 28. Still get I'D'ed.

...and new to vaping in the last month too.

Just wanted to say, iya' and that's amazing - kicking the smokes after just over a decade feels strange enough, after four decades...

If I needed a kick up the ...., I just got it for sure. Ha ha.

Respect where it's due, Jazzeman. :thumb:

Welcome Jazzeman and congratulations on one month free, it's quite an accomplishment:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:! Stay with the forum as its been an invaluable resource for many of us. There are lots of helpful and knowledgeable people to help you along the way. Reading all the success stories makes one realize that you can indeed stay with this and finally, even after years of smoking, give up the cigarettes. Best of luck on your journey!

Hi and Welcome,
I'm glad you gave vaping a chance and realize how great it is!

Here is why i am really happy each time when i see older people vaping (50+).
I have many acquaintances in their middle 50's and 60's that suffering from smoking, they can't quit but smoking causes them a lot of health issues. So far i've succeed moving only one of them to vaping. Others still claim "its a toy, it can't replace a cigarette" or in some cases they refuse to believe that it is better than smoking.

Hopefully more people will give vaping a chance and finally improve their health condition by that.

I switched to vaping after smoking for 42 years. By that time I was up to nearly 4 packs a day and figured I'd die with a cigarette in my hand. Vaping really can and does help even die hard smokers quit and I'm living proof. Kudos to you for being open-minded enough to give something new a try...and succeeding!
