Hello Guys Im starting my advernture to stop smoking cigs!

Today is my second day of vaping and I must say its pretty intresting. Its like finding a new hobby. I have a few questions about some things i've found out by doing alot of research. I've come across a few post and videos of batteries almost burning down houses as well as someones face almost being ripped off. Actually scared me there a moment after finding out what happend to the guy. I literally pulled the ecig away from my face when I was taking a drag off it and it started to crackle and pop which is normal from what i read. Anyways I have a few questions for you veterans out there and I would like some input.

I bought 5 smoktechs dual coil cartomizers filled each one with 5 diffrent flavors that I also bought from the vendor SmokeAnywhereForPennys.com. 4 out of 5 of the flavors seem to work well with my current setup Ego-T Passthru and the cartomizer which i mentioned above. At first any of the flavours would be so harsh to hit it would be scary to take a drag from them no matter how hard you were sucking on them. It was like taking a huge hit from a cigar and inhaling it then holding it in to the point where your lungs would hurt forcing you to cough. Though for some reason it went away or sometimes it comes back its kind of weird. The Rootbeer flavour didn't produce that much flavour and its the only flavour that i have right now that still giving me that harsh lung hit regardless of how im hittting it.

And I just noticed that the battery doesn't have any of the ego-t logos on it does that mean its generic or a knock off?

Does the color of the eliquid matter on vapor production? Because all of the flavours that work are the light colored ones from what I have bought.

After my overpriced underperforming retail kit, my first real kit was the then newly released eGo-T. There are no logos on the batteries. I've never heard that color or flavor for that matter has any effect on vapor production. On the eGo-T viscosity does have a effect though.

in the following link on joucetech they images have the ego-t logo on them and the one I have doesn't Does it mean its authentic? The vendor just contacted after equiring about it as well and she replied that she doesn't pay for the stamping but it is a joycetech ego-t.

First of all, as long as you are using your pv as it's meant to be used, I wouldn't worry too much about your battery exploding. The stories you've heard have all been instances where someone has been stacking batteries in a tube mod. With a little common sense, the batteries in a pv are no more dangerous than the batteries in a flashlight. The crackle and pop you are hearing is the sound of the juice heating up.

I am not an expert on the dual coil cartomizers you have, but it sounds like you may be experiencing a burnt taste which may occur if the carto is not kept wet enough. Make sure you completely saturate the cartomizer and let the juice soak in before vaping. As you vape and use up the juice in the carto, the flavor may begin to change. When that happens you need to add a few more drops of liquid to your carto. From what I understand, the dual coil cartos like to be kept pretty wet. If you don't keep them wet enough you may start getting a burnt taste which is pretty much impossible to get rid of. If 4 out of 5 of your juices are working, then it may be the root beer flavor is either a bad batch or just may not be a flavor that is suited to you.

My eGo batteries don't have any kind of logo on them, so just because yours doesn't have logo it doesn't mean they are knock offs. Some companies brand their eGo's and some don't.

The color of the liquid doesn't necessarily affect the vapor production, but darker liquids can clog cartos more quickly making it necessary to change them out sooner. It is the vg in liquids that affects the amount of vapor production. The higher the ratio of vg in the liquid, the more vapor you will get. Pg gives you more throat hit, vg gives vapor. I'm not sure where you got your juices, but it kind of sounds like you may need to experiment a bit with the pg/vg ratio of the juices you are using. You may be getting too much throat hit and not enough vapor for your preferences.

My tobacco flavors make me cough no matter how mild they are. I don't cough immediately, but within an hour or so I begin to cough at every hit. I switch to something else and the cough goes away. I think there is something in those particular flavor additives that just doesn't agree with me. I've been adding a drop or two of Cool Hit and that seems to help a bit.

Btw, regarding batts exploding, there's no reason for u 2 worry as u're using joye batts. Even if they're knock-offs, they wouldn't explode (cross fingers). At most, they'd just die on u unexpectedly.

As for dcc, i find tt they give muted flavors unless u're hitting them with menthol / menthol-based juices. I've given up on them as i'm vaping tobacco flavors exclusively now...

What do you mean by TT and Dcc? Where do you usually get your ejuice from?

Welcome to the Forums! don't get discouraged, there are plenty of other juices to try. Some vendors just sell crappy juice. We have all had a bad experience at least once in our journey's. Hope everything goes well for you and Happy Vaping!

Vaping has been great so far. Day 3 and I haven't smoked a single cigarrette. I just ordered 20mls of an apple flavoured ejuice 30pg/70vg 0 nic level. Gonna see how that goes. will seeping a bottle of this rootbeer make it perform better? I should make a video of the 5 diffrent flavours as well as they're vapor output so you guys can see what i mean about the rootbeer not producing vapor comepared to the others.
