Hi all recently got myself in to vaping, bought myself a vivid kit from asda for £10, personally i think im doing well been just over a week now since ive smoked. Im wanting some thing a bit better and more stable im finding there is no consistency to this kit at all, one day plenty of flavour and a nice enough hit, next day barley any flavour and a horrible hit tasting like a smoke machine with a powdery texture.

Im very determined to keep at it and im convinced what im getting is due to cheap kit, i have bought a few jucies from mr e cig online (dekang and e-liquid) only cheap just to try diffrent flavours.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction for a quality battery and tanks or atomisers and maybe some better quality jucies as im sure ive got all the wrong stuff.

Nathan

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

Here are some options for you to consider. A variable v/w (twist/spinner) battery is usually recommended over a "non" variable v/w battery. It allows you to adjust your settings to get a better "vape". Some flavors taste better at higher voltages than 3.7v

1. JoyeTech Ego-C Twist
2. Vision Spinner
3. Innokin iTaste vv v3
4. Innokin iTaste MVP v2

The first 3 are fall into the "ego style" category of battery (with variable voltage). They range in size from 600mah to 1300mah. The higher the mah the longer the battery will last between charging. The 4th one is a step up from an "ego style" battery in that it is a smaller box mod with a very big battery (2600mah). It will last many vapers a whole day before it needs recharging. It is probably one of the most popular batteries for someone upgrading from an "ego style" battery. Some vapers choose to buy one "ego style" battery as a backup and also purchase the MVP for their main battery.

If you are purchasing an "ego style" battery I suggest buying only name brand Joyetech Twist or Vision Spinner batteries. BTW, "ego" is merely a type of battery, not a brand name. Buying "generic" ego batteries is always going to be hit or miss...mostly miss.

You will need to purchase a tank (the juice attachment) with the first three on the above list. The mini Nautillus, mini Aerotank or regular size Aerotank (all made of glass & all have adjustable airflow control) are very popular. The MVP Kit comes with a tank but it is not glass.

Why would you want a glass tank (you may be thinking to yourself)? Here is a great resource regarding "tank cracking" eliquid by ECF member Baditude: Something Safe for Cinnamon and Citrus Flavors

Below are some links I have accumulated from other members for UK vapers.

ELiquid

1. Decadent Vapors
2. Paradise Vape UK
3. The Vapor Salon
4. Digbys Juices (The Dr Jekyl and Mums Custard are rated.)
6. Kraken Ecigs
7. Vapemunki-Eliquids
8. Greyhaze
9. Chefs Vapor
10. Mrs Lord & Co.
11. UK Vapers for UK shops and liquid makers.
12. Spiritus Vapes - Imported USA Juice (these juices are higher cost due to import fees to the UK)
13. CloudHouseVapor - European Source For American Made E-Liquids

Hardware

1. Myepack.co.uk
2. Vape Escape (you can get 10% discount if you are on a forum). Comment by a UK member.
3. UKecigcabin. That is CABIN, not store. (Don't even ask about the 'other' one...) This comment was from a UK member.

Wire & Wicking

1. Cloud 9 Vaping - Cellucotton (Rayon)
2. The Vape Mesh Company - Source for A1 Kahthal. The wire listings state both the AWG and the wire diameter (e.g. 0.28mm etc.)

Let me just say...

1. Welcome :)

2. Thank goodness you didn't get ripped off. Everybody used to get ripped off on their first purchase.

Products like E-Lites (Sainsburys) E-Lites (Morrisons) Vapestick and Nicolites (Tesco).... it's a disgrace.
Tesco are selling a non-refillable kit now with £4.99 clearomisers. (Vapestick).

I don't vape a lot (really) but these would cost me £2,000 a year.

Instead, I spend about £200 on liquids and clearos.

Good for ASDA. Good for you. :)

If you want to upgrade, look here.

Myepack.co.uk

hard to go wrong with this vendor... a little more expensive than ebay, but at least half of ebay is faked and cloned hardware.

Kanger EMOW might be worth a look. ? :)

I feel quite baffled and overwhelmed now if I am honest I would like something that is fully adjustable battery wise volts and watts.

tanks I have no idea bottom coils?

and recommendations I don't mind spending out a bit as im hoping to stick with what I get.

The common suggestion at the moment is just to buy an iStick.

The iStick is great, but there are two potential problems.

1. It doesn't do "low power" even when you set it to low power. Lots of vapour isn't always a good thing for a new vaper.
2. It's new, we don't know how reliable it is, in truth.

You could try an MVP, but it's bigger and not as powerful. There will be a new version soon.

If a box battery is not your thing, I would look at Kanger EMOW or even IPOW

Kanger IPOW 2 1600 Mah

Hello Nathan and welcome to the ECF family. Yes it can be a little overwhelming at first but keep going. Read all you can, on here and watch videos on YouTube.

You will be surprised how quickly you can learn. I started with a Vamo v5 and I've also got an Eleaf iStick and love them both. Had a few teething problems with the iStick and had to return it but they replaced it for me no trouble and it's fine now. I use Aspire Nautilus mini or the KangerTech AeroTank with either/both and I've got some bigger automizer's too. But I don't want to add to your confusion so I'll just recommend either or both of the ones I've named for now.

Well done on making a good start, don't rush things. As I said read up about vaping and try to learn what you think will meet your needs.

Good luck and happy vaping. :)
