Hello! Salute to all evaporators :D

I've been vaping for 1 month. I reduced the cigarettes from 15-20 to 2-3. So vaping works for me.

I was very angry when I heard about the new restrictions on e-cigarettes. They want to give us up, but it will be difficult.
I could not understand: would it really be forbidden to trade e-cigarettes and consumables online?

I started with Kanger T2. I was happy with it, but I decided to try something more complicated, more powerful and now most of the time I'm with Eleaf iStick Pico with Melo 3. I make liquids alone: nicotine base diluted up to ~ 5mg/ml with mainly VG, little PG (both from a laboratory) and flavor, of course.

I noticed that even the tobacco flavours, the longer they mature, the more pleasant they become.

Melo 3 leaks when running at lower watts than those marked on the coil and when it is filled up from almost empty to full rude and suddenly, but with closed air ports and more attention - it almost does not leak. As far as I know, leaks are inevitable anyway?! At first Melo 3 gave more steam, and now I do not know what happened, but it is a bit more than T2 and makes me cough even with a new coil.

I have an idea to change my configuration to: Smok Alien Baby with Kangertech GeniTank Mega.

I do not have much experience. I read, but the information is scattered and difficult to grasp sometimes.

I'm a fan of cigarette puffs (pulls). I like that Genitank Mega has a large container, there are reviews that it does not leak, but I understood that its filling is a little bit complicated. The Alien Baby is small and comfortable, with a nice display, a specific fire button (and super design).

What do you think, what does your experience say? I will enjoy any comments, recommendations and ideas! :)

Best regards! :)

Welcome.

The Genitank was unpopular for many good reasons.

Reason number 1 is those coils. They are inferior to atomizer heads like Aspire Nautilus BVC and Eleaf GS Air "Pure cotton". They do not last long enough and unless you are buying them from China, people are making a lot of money off you.

Reason number 2 is the filling. Top-fill is the new way of things if you can find a top fill tank with a MTL (Mouth to lung) option.

Does the Melo III leak? Yes... it can. Is it bearable? Yes... it is.
You can buy the 0.75 (MTL) ECML atomizer coil for it... but beware... even with every setting to make it a MTL tank, it still works better DTL.

The Cubis is more predictable. However, the Cubis only makes sense using the 0.6ohm (eGo AIO) coil.
You can get a decent vape out of Cubis with the other atomizer head options (0.5, 1.5 etc) but they all leak/gurgle/flood unless you get very lucky with the power and juice ratio (PG/VG).

You should not be vaping on a T2. I'm afraid the old top-wick silica coil atomizers are not good enough to vape with - not now we know so much more about what is in the vapor.

BVC (Aspire) and BF Cubis did very well in the research.

Personally, I use Eleaf EC heads. I try to MTL with the 0.75 ECML, but it's not the best and it does wick slowly so the top range of the watts (8-30?) is not achievable. The 0.5 is excellent... purely for DTL.

+1 to brother bob. Id start yourself on a lower wattage subohm tank and go from there.

Smok baby beast. (Has a good variety of coil resistances and can be used from 30-70watts depending on selection) and can be used with the airflow closed off and the wattage low.
Or a kanger subtank (ive never used the rba but the coil heads are okay) same thing. Airflow closed and wattage low. These tanks have restricted airflow compared to other subohms on the market.
Or even a uwell crown 3 (this ones not quite lower wattage but it can be used in a good range.) This one id recommend a high wattage short vape. (Bout 1 second) thats how i tend to vape subohms to emulate a real cig.

Actually kanger subtanks are what i started a couple friends on and they loved em. Not to mention theyre easy on the pocketbook.

I cant speak for full mouth to lung type vapes i dont vape that way. Personal choice really. Same with rebuilding - if youre the tinkering type id recommend getting a simple rebuildable.

Happy vaping!

Edit: if youre a mouth to lung type fella kayfuns do make a good option. If youre going to look in to rebuildables youtube is a great resource for putting your first build in to a specific model.

Someone mentioned the tron-s with clr coils .
Been vaping the ego tanks with clr coils for several years and enjoy them.

They are bottom filled and will get small leakage only when going from warm to cold such as outside when cold out as i do when letting the dogs out otherwise i experience no leakage .

Clr coil heads are easily rebuilt with simple kanthal wire and organic cotton.
But when cotton gets well used pull it , the coil itself can be pulsed like new and cotton replaced making that coil head last and last if redone.

Coming in .5 and 1 ohm i prefer the 1 ohm coupled with the joyetech megaV2 tank a great MTL vape such as you describe.
Those tanks are 22mm in diamater and hold near 4ml of e-liquid.

OBS Engine AKA Original OBS Engine
The Air Flow comes from the top, so doesn't leak.
The easiest to fill Atty on the market.

Great Flavor too. Very easy to build.

BTW I've tried the TFV4 and TFV8 Crown Etc...
The flavor from Dual SS Claptons on this tank, which I buy precoiled, beats them all hands down.

Thank you all for your replies. You provided so much worthy information!

Don't you think that I'm too novice for rebuildables.

I look up for the atomizers you suggested. I am not common with them and I see them for the first time. What is your opinion for Joyetech Cubis Pro. I know it's too commercial but they told me it is with upper air flow, doesn't leak (and it has 4ml tank, which is great).

Could you recommend me apv mod with one replaceable battery simple and easy to use.

I appreciate your help! Otherwise I have to spend much more hours looking for the answers in the net.

p.s.(I hope we will be able to shop vape goods gross border in the future.)

Sorry to say, but I reckon that that selection of tanks is a poor one for the OP, considering the style of vape he seems to prefer.

I think that you should look into getting a decent RTA (or two) - if you can coil some wire around a drill bit or jeweller's screwdriver, you can make your own coils/wicks. Just watch some YouTube videos to get an idea as to how it's done.

I'm an MTL vaper, and also liked the T2 (& EVODS etc.) back in the day - these days my favourite MTL RTAs are the Taifun GT2 and the Origen OT22 - both clones which cost me around US$11-15 each from China (FastTech, actually).

Maybe a decent little mod like a Eleaf Pico or a eVic VTwo Mini and a couple of RTAs like I mentioned above would give you the satisfaction that you crave. :D

EDIT - If you're talking about the European TPD regulations, it is my understanding that it only applies to what sellers in-country are allowed to sell - it does not prevent people from being able to buy stuff from other non-EU countries like China.

Do check this, though.

+1.
That original OBS is a single coilers dream if they like MTL.

I use the original Cubis tanks and would swap them for the 'Pro' version... but ONLY with the 0.6ohm coils.
It took me over 1 year to realize it was the coils that were bad and not the tank.

I think before you jump to a new tank try and figure out what's going on with your current tank as far as I know those tanks are not know as leakers. Make sure you are screwing your coil in tight should be able to lower your wattage with no problems. Search on here for your tank or just the pico and ask in that forum should find people in there that are familiar with your tank and can help you out.

Hello there!

I ordered Cubis Pro. As I read it is not so bed if you choose the proper coil. And a drip tip which will stop the hot spits. And I hope it wont leak like the Melo 3. Btw anyone deal with the Melo 3 leaks?!

I'm satisfied with the Pico and think of getting another one... the silver one :D
The Smok Baby Beast is nice but I found bad reviews like: it's getting too hot; doesn't have air holes for the battery; the menu is suffisticated; so on...

I'm also on my way to get RTA tank. I'm not afraid to build it on my own. But first of all I need some more information and recommendations and it is about to happen.

Any links and comments are welcome :)

I guess it's not the tanks but the coils that matters most.
So what's the best MTL coil for Melo 3 and Cubis Pro that leaks less and drains battery not so much according to your experience?

The ECML 0.75ohm coil for the Eleaf tanks (Melo) dry hits at even 14-16w with 50/50 liquid.
Not recommended.

There are two MTL coils for Cubis. The 0.6ohm BF coil (which works well enough) and the 1.5ohm 'Clapton' coil which tastes of almost nothing and gets very overheated at even 15w. It might work lower, but I don't expect so, as it's a Clapton...

I confirm - 0.75ohm coil (for Melo 3) gets dry hits and low vapor even after only a week use; 0.5ohm coil is excellent (for DTL) and with very long life.

I will try the coils for Cubis Pro and I'll share impressions.

Also got Kayfun v5, so building is in front of me...

What I have to be aware of and know before that?

Anyone tried the new Pico 25? What do you think of it?

Do you know way my batteries are shown not fully charged even with external charger?

Happy vaping y'all! :)

What batteries are you using?
Name brand & any letters/numbers on the wrap.

If you're looking for MTL delivery device / restrictive airflow similar to the draw of cigs yet still adjustable;
Nautilus mini, nautilus 2, Triton mini, Vika fantasy, Vapefly nicholas, Kabuki, Eleaf GS air, Beyond vape silo, Anyvape peakomizerv2 22mm & Cerotankv2.

To name a few.
