Hello. Im 23 (going on 24 this month) I have smoked since i was 18 and I have been using an e-cigarette for about 2 weeks now. I use to average 8-10 cigarettes a day but it was all pending on what my day was like (I've been known to smoke a pack or 2 in a day) ~~My days vary because I work as an EMT and i smoke when i can (Between Calls or when i'm just hanging out) Most of my smoking was at work because i cant smoke in my house I was also what you call a "Closet smoker" I didn't like to smoke around my friends or family and would have to go on "Walks" to get my fix. Most people at work other than my partner knew i smoked. But now I can happily say I'm glad that i found E-cigarettes and i do it wherever i can~~

Anyway enough about me! Now to my questions~

I am a NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOB! My knowledge of E-Cigarettes are: I bought it / I smoke it / I LOVE IT!

I know its better for me. I know i don't smell funky all the time. And i know that there are a lot less burn holes in my clothes~

My Questions:

Q: I see many people posting about different types of E-Cigs. Like 150s and stuff like that? what is a 150? and these others? what does it mean? also what one do i have?

its about the size of a cig / black/ red LED/ 3piece(Cart,atomizer,battery) /automatic / i'm guessing its like the Blu model

Q: One of my atomizers smells and tastes like fire! Thats bad right? I've been using 1 atomizer the whole time because the 2nd tastes like something is burning and yes. I cleaned it to the best of my ability and i have tried several cartridges.

Q: I just put in an order for a Blu cigarette. I saw some review on the forum. some good some bad. But the good seemed to outweigh the bad and i LOVE the box it comes in (if it works) A: If you have one do you like it? B: What flavors do you like? C: Can the box charge the cig that i currently have?
((Note)) i will probably answer this question in 3-7 days when the box gets to me lol but id like to get other peoples POV.

Q: I feel kinda weird because I've been wearing a necklace that i made from scrap leather to hold my E-Cig. Is there something more manly to put it in? ~~GAH IM SO INSECURE!~~

Hi Gamer! Welcome to ECF!!!

Your questions seem sensible enough and I hope I can help you out.

OK.........First of all. I think you were meaning to say "510" instead of "150". The "510" refers to the most popular of all the traditional "stick-style" e-cigs you can buy. Most people agree the the 510 is the "workhorse" of the e-cig market. It produces great vapor and flavor and also has excellent throat hit. Some others prefer to use an 801 or 901 and those are great too. Those are just other types of e-cigs. Made in the same style as the 510 with slight differences, but all of these have "recessed atomizers".

There are also models that are closer to what you are using now like the m4 series (m401/402/403) , the dse103, and the Joye304. All of these have an "exposed atomizer" and use a different type of cart the the units with "recessed atties". There carts slide over ( not into) the atties housing. I own a m403 and it produces wonderfully.

There is also units that use a Cart/Atomizer Hybrid called "Cartomizers'. the most popular of these is the KR808. My wife just got one of these and she absolutly LOVES it. Maybe something that would intrest you cause it is a lil more convenient to screw on a "carto" and vape....as apposed to refilling your cart a couple times a day.

As for your spare atty........You said you cleaned it. How did you clean it.....like what process? It could be you are tasting the primer.....or could be something totally different. I'm not sure.

The BLU Cig.......
Most people I have met or talked to really enjoy their Blu.....till I let them hit on my 510. The Blu is a great e-cig that garners attention cause its black with the Blue LED. People see that and wanna run up and ask about it......but over all, I just don't think it holds water to some of the other choices out there.

As far as something to carry it in. I know StricklyEJuice sells a slim case for them and several people here on ECF have shown methods of toating there units. Have a quick search thru the Forums and see what appeals to you.

It looks like what you have (based on the length of 10.2cm) is a DSE103. That doesn't tell me much though, I'm not familiar. I think the "150" you're referring to is the 510, since it's a very popular model on this forum for beginners. It's also known as the "Yeti" "Titan" and, most commonly, the Joye 510. I just got one last night and am really enjoying it. There's a lot of good info in the reviews and model specific discussion threads.

The bad atomizer might taste bad because of primer that the manufacturer put on. Maybe try using that one for a while and see if it gets better? Otherwise, I'd contact the supplier and see if they'll send a replacement.

I have a Blu also, which is an l88b. A lot of the bad reviews come from bad customer service and shipping experiences from before. They seem to be managing these issues better these days. The charging case (PCC) is really convenient and I like that the Blu is quite similar to the size of an analog, so that was good to start.

The carts are not the best though, you might find that a fresh cart hits well for a little while and then really drops off in performance. There are threads on the Blu specifically with good tips on how to improve their performance i.e. removing foil, better filler. I like my 510 better, but I'm happy enough with the Blu to still use it (atomizer burns cooler so flavors taste better) and again, it's convenient for on the go.

No worries, I've seen a lot of pics of guys using lanyards to carry theirs. I think anything looks better (esp. to non-smokers) than puffing on a cigarette. If you wear pocketed shirts, you could try a pen cap or the clip from a pen or a sharpie cap. Look in the mods area for a lot of other good ideas.

The blu is way overpriced and their customer service is terrible! I would cancel if it hasn't shipped and look at either a d510 or kr808d-1. The only good reviews I have seen for the blu is on their website..hmm.

as for cleaning I cleaned it like a computer. I used a VERY LOW Air compressor and blew out some dust and there were some strands in the inside that were loose bits of something. I cleaned it all out thinking it was possibly fibers which had gotten lodged inside.

I am also searching the forum for ways to clean it

ok i dont know how to edit posts? can you on this forum? And Yes 510 is what i meant. I couldn't remember what order the numbers go in its hard to count when i run out of fingers and toes.

OK PUFFING IT OUT! BAD IDEA! the atomizer got super hot and the smoke i blew out wasn't disappearing. I have a smoke alarm above my Computer and it actually set it off. that and it SMELLS of burning (I don't even know what to say it smells like) But it tastes like i've been chewing on ash. ummmm like eating JUST the outside of a burnt marshmallow. Ill go to my local friendly vapor store tomorrow if they are open (DARN SNOW!) and see what they can do. If nothing else ill buy a new one. I've gone through about 3 atomizers (One was just dead out of the box, second only worked with 1 of my batteries, this is my third) But i don't blame the dealer He doesn't make em he just sells em and going to the store is a great thing since its just 10min away, and the people that work there are GREAT and its just all around a nice place. But yeah i don't know what is burning but i don't think its suppose to be there. Note::: I didn't inhale any smoke i just puffed on it off and on. And i know i didn't over use it i puffed like i normally would. 2-3 times a min. Is that too much? ugh lol. Ill figure something out. I just have a bad burnt wood taste in my mouth now.
